nbn Plan Comparison

I wanted to move to a 1000/400 plan but couldn't find a complete list of all the providers - so I decided to build a quick dashboard that collates it all in one area. I figured someone else might find it useful. It's somewhat like the old whirlpool broadband choice functionality.

Note: I've smoothed out some of the data (ie 95/35 plan would be 100/40) but there could be a few mistakes. I've got a script that should update it monthly.

  • FUZENET 1000/400 is Opticomm not NBN.

    • ahh interesting. For some reason the NBN listed them as a provider, but then they refer to ABB.

  • Thanks, couldn't see ABB there, also doesn't seem to include fixed wireless plans?

    • Should be under Aussie Broadband.

No fixed wireless on this version. It's something I can add - I just didn't need.

couldn't find a complete list of all the providers

Where did you look? and why do you want a complete list?

    • I needed 1000/400 plan but couldn't find a complete list of all the providers - some are listed here: https://whirlpool.net.au/wiki/nbn_highspeed_plans but it's outdated and didn't include all the providers.

but couldn't find a complete list of all the providers -

Why do you need a complete list?

Because I wanted to compare prices

@freshy: You can do that without a complete list.

  • +2

Prob impossible but can you show who use pppoe or dhcp :D

    This list is amazing.

  • It would be good if someone has a website or database of all current ISP provider with their prices and speed

  • Thanks for this.
I'd love to see a rating column (somehow). This is probably in the same way that I would love to see a unicorn in my back yard.
Quality of service is a very important consideration for me (still on Telstra).

    • Quality standard must be quite low then XD

    • +2

Great idea. I've just quickly added the stars / reviews from productreview.com.au (not sure how much it can be relied upon) but it should give a better indication

  • Thanks @freshy for you work in creating that spreadsheet! Fantastic resource.

    Note: Avoid Moose NBN

  • Thank you! This is awesome. I have just heard from a friend that is a reseller of Aussie Broadband that NBN are putting up prices up, its called: NBN’s Special Access Undertaking (SAU).

Black Friday is not too far away, worth waiting to see if their are any good deals to switch to another provider.

  • A "price to bandwidth ratio" column would be pretty neat, imo.

  • Pretty hard to beat CommBank Yello 35% off offer with more Telecom, for FTP & 12 months I get:
    250/21 $74.75/m, 700/42 $87.75/m

Whether or not more Telecom are good is up to you to figure out. No issues with mine the last 6 months.
