The Bathurst 1000 is on tomorrow and if all that real life driving gets your pulse racing perhaps this might be the deal for you.

JB has this on sale at the moment for $406 :

https://www.jbhifi.com.au/products/logitech-g923-trueforce-r…

Amazon has it cheaper at $369.81 - not quite the all time low of $359.93 according to the Camels :

https://au.camelcamelcamel.com/product/B08GYQX1YH

While it's come down the last couple of days and could well go lower ( Bathurst related ?! ) this may well put you on the fast track to winning.

Happy Driving.

I couldn’t tell if you were marketing for Logitech, Amazon or JB but you should apply

It was 100% written by AI.

yeah damn, i cant wait to put this hooked up on the side for 6 months and never use it after enjoying it for 1 month.

    • 1 month? I got 2 days.

    • +2

There’s a lot of these on Facebook market

      • +4

jeez maybe i'm the weird one

i have g29 where i replaced the rim with a 14" momo wheels out of a real car

i have a playstation with gran turismo on a seat frame with a real recaro car seat in front on a 55" 4k that does ps pc and xbox

i try to use it every day and i probalby use it at least 5 times a day but only for like 30 mins a day

        • +16

Nah, you're just the anomaly who probably enjoys the genre more than us. We usually just want some new tech to play with and get bored easily.

      • +2

Yep. and most of them asking ridiculous prices for this model in particular. I'd rather get it new for $50'ish more.

      • +1

There are, but losers on there apparently think that one of these in unknown condition with no warranty is worth mayyybe $10 less than full retail. The way idiots price things on FB and Gumtree in 2024 is hilariously stupid.

        • Take out 2024…. It's always been like that lol. People think their used shit is worth 10% off RRP. Completely delusional.

          • @bert-lifts: It's definitely way worse post-COVID, people selling used goods and cars still seem to think we can't get them new.

      • yeh, had the previous model but i remember getting that off here for ~$200 new w/ shifter… still only an average wheel, the new prices still way too much for an entry level wheel… got the bug again and picked up a practically new marketplace set last month with the gear shifter for $150.

  • Is it not $365? That's the price I see on Amazon.

    • +1

The listing that is $365 is for the one sold by LogitechShop via Amazon AU.

The listing that is $369.81 is for the one sold by Amazon AU themselves.

      • +2

Wouldn’t it be slightly cheaper to buy from LogitechShop (reseller) than Amazon AU? Is there a difference?

        • +1

It would be slightly cheaper to buy from the reseller.

One of the only instances I can think of where purchasing directly from Amazon would be preferable would be if you had Amazon promotional credit on your Amazon account you wanted to redeem, as that can only be redeemed when purchasing goods sold and shipped by Amazon.

  • +2

If you prefer to buy from JB you could use the $30 perks voucher to get it closer to Amazon price, or ask for a price match.

  • +1

Price match JB then use $30 perks. Brings it down to $339

    • how do you get $30 perks?

  • I never get approval to buy this :(

    • +5

You can buy it! I'll take all the blame for it but you gotta take the scolding on my behalf tho…

      • +1

Tell her “Simon says” so you have to do it or you’d be out.

    • +2

it's better to ask forgiveness than permission

  • Any quick breakdown of the G923 vs G29 vs G920? Seeing as the G920 was $293 just a few months ago

    • +5

      920 = xbox

      g29 = ps3/4/5

g923 = ps4/5 but it has their new Trueforce tech so its supposed to give you better FFB

      • +1

To add to this, the G923 has a progressive, stiffer Brake spring VS the standard spring in the g29's brake pedal. The initial push is light and it gets heavier as you push further. It makes braking much more consistent and easier to modulate. It's certainly no load cell, but feels a LOT better than the g29's brake.

Pretty cool wheel. Mate at work has one and says it’s great.

I’ve still got a $50 Facebook marketplace bought Logitech Direct Force GT (DFGT)

For anyone who wants to try sim racing/driving on the cheap via PC, I highly recommend the DFGT before spending $300+… upgrade once you love it.

Assetto Corsa is the game to get, often under $20 on stream. With graphic mod it looks pretty current.

I like doing Nurburgring track days.

Here is some of my amateur driving

    Ps
The downside, the $50 DFGT is so capable you, like me, may not upgrade :-D

    • This, then if you enjoy get into iRacing for the best racing experience

    • I had a DFGT as my first wheel, I still miss all the extra buttons it had. Needed to use a sponge behind the brake pedal for better resistance though, lol

      • I tried that but then it became too hard…. so I went back to as-it-is. Got used to it.

    • +1

Totally agree, the DFGT is basically time same tech as the current batch, withstanding some incremental improvements.

I have one with a DriveHub adapter for PS/XB compatibility.

  • Trueforce isn't supported in FH4 and 5 right?

    Just Forza Motorsport

  • +3

make sure you sit in a chair that doesn't have wheels or you'll be rolling backwards every time you step on the brakes :)

  • +1

g29 is $298 after $10 discount (maybe for ebay plus only) https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/122808085953

I weighed g923 with g29 and figured slightly better break pedal and some software tuned force feedback wasn't worth the $60.

    • +1

You can get replacement progressive brake spring on aliexpress for g29. It takes 5 mins to install it.

      • just ordered one, thanks for the tip

  • $369 dust-level indicators.

  • +3

Wife doesn't like it. Ain't no thrustmaster

  • This or t300 ?

    • +1

T300 is supposed to be way better, but in a different price range compared to this.
