If you use a nozzle with a slightly smaller diameter, you should be able to reach or exceed the maximum pressure.

Waste of time doing the above as you will reduce the water volume and gain zip.

    • Theoretically, that's correct, but in practice, it might not reduce the flow rate. You can use a pressure gauge and a flow meter to measure it; I found that my flow rate didn't decrease. And the machine is still working not stopping.

My situation is to use different water guns with 1/4-inch accessories, so I have to purchase a separate nozzle.

  • Wow pretty expensive. I want to upgrade from my $150 gerni, it struggles mainly with cleaning the pavement. I'm guessing this is leagues better?

    • I guess so, you need more psi to clean the dirt. It should be the most powerful machine on the 240V/10A market(<20kg).

      • Incorrect, loads of 240v/10A products which out perform this unit. For example Annovi, Bigboi, Kranzle, Active, etc. All around that 20kg mark, but obviously an extra ~5kg means you end up with a much more substantial product.

You're paying for the brand name on this pressure washer though, lets be honest.

sorry which one has >2600 psi and >8.5LPM?

  • What's better, assuming same pressure on the label, Gerni or Karcher?

    • Wouldn’t touch either. Gerni was bought by Ozito a few years back and they’re both in a race to the bottom in my opinion. Full of plastic parts in the pump.
Get something with a brass pump and expect to get 10 years plus.

      • Can you recommend something?

        • I recently bought a Kranzle after my pre-Ozito Gerni died after about 13 years. About twice this price (bought on discount at the EOFY sales) but I expect it will last the same as my Gerni - hopefully longer.
All metal connectors, a full brass pump, top notch hardware.

Gerni 7300 should be the most expensive one from bunnings, but it has less PSI and LPM than K7 and is more expensive.

If I want a full brass pump, I would get it from overseas. Too expensive in Australia.

I use Bosch 140, it can reach 150bar and 7.5LPM from what I tested, and only $3xx

          • @cxy0614: Agree, I bought ozito $99 one which failed in 1 year, and returned it to Bunnings and got a full refund. Then purchased a kind of famous Chinese brand lutian fox-f4, and bought all the necessary parts include brass nuts, foam connon, etc, plus shipping fee, cost me $120… I am using it every week, and enjoy every minute of using it.

            • @Cool Very: Wow where did you get the lutian fox-f4 from? Seems impossible to google with English results!

A 140 Bosh is 140bar from the factory. The motor runs at around 2,800 revs.

Believe it or not, there is miniscule difference in cleaning power from an industrial 100bar at 11LPM with the motor running around 1,400 revs.

  • Is this one suitable for roof cleaning? I'm thinking of DIY for cleaning and sealing of our single-floor house.
    Thanks

  • Assuming there's no point in me upgrading to this as all I do is use it for washing cars?

    • If only for washing car, you don't need high PSI, you just need a high LPM.
I am sorry, but I cannot make the recommdation, as the brands other people have advised are not cheap tho.

  • I have a K3, which I've used for cleaning concrete and does the job very well.

Interested to know, what uses would you guys have for this particular model?

  • K5 for $489.30 with 300 psi less probably not noticeable.

Or a big boi 2600 psi for $349.95

    • It has about 15% less grunt.

  • From all I've read Karcher are total garbage at any price point. I note some of the Gernis have aluminium pumps, good enough? Is there anything under $1k with a brass pump?

    • Not that I’ve found.

    • Stihl pressure washers seem to have brass pumps. Have a look at RE163 plus.

    • From all I've read Karcher are total garbage at any price point

That's a big call. If you said all domestic pressure cleaners are rubbish I would agree with you.

    • Have been using the same model for a few years. Can’t be happier. Compact and has wheels to move around.
