    $80 for a fashion watch.

In before roasted by watch enthusiasts/collectors :P

    • Haha maybe if it was $200

    • +4

Not going to be roasted. For this price it's passable. Would still recommend a Casio over this

      • +1

        Definitely

      • +3

Only 30 m water resistant for this watch. Better get Addiesdive Quartz 200 m, better lume and great look.

        • Id agree. Problem is if Amazon sold addiesdive instead of only being on AliExpress, it might make more sales. Heaps of people still super hesitant to buy of aliexpress.

          • @maverickjohn: https://www.amazon.com.au/addiesdive-watch/s?k=addiesdive+wa…

They also sell Addiesdive on Amazon, but more expensive of course, like up to around 100% markup or more for Quartz for example lol. I bought it from AliExpress half price compared with Amazon.

            • @neoleo: https://www.amazon.com.au/ADDIESDIVE-Quartz-Watch-Luminous-S… $75 for this is not bad , cheaper than above as well

              • @maverickjohn: It's because of the band, not link.

                • @neoleo: Not sure what that meant but the metal band version has a 25% coupon bringing it from $100 to $75. So it's cheaper than the Tommy above. The rubber strap is even cheaper at $70

                  • @maverickjohn: It looks like no stock for the metal version. I cannot find $75 for the metal version. The metal stainless steel link (not "band") is called link because they are linked together. If not metal, such as rubber or leather is called rubber/leather band (not link).

I removed some of the "links" from the Addiesdive Quartz watch because it's too big for me. The watch itself is not too big for me as I have other Citizen 43.5" solar powered watch that looks bigger than this Addiesdive Quartz watch. Both still look good enough size for my wrist.

                    • @neoleo: Yeah it was the metal link version. I call them all bands sorry bout that.
It's gone now but yeah it was $75 for the stainless steel link version.

I'd recommend the Steeldive SD1970 over this, it's pretty much the best value dive watch going around.

Current cheapest price I can find is US$60.89 + GST… ~AU$98 delivered. Or wait for a coupon code post & get it even cheaper.

    • I prefer quartz or solar. So, Addiesdive Quartz for around $50 from AliExpress to match this Tommy Hilfiger quartz watch. Better lume, 200 m water resistance, and great look too

Those who would want to wear this watch are more likely to value the branding over the function of the watch I reckon.

      • Yes, many average people non watch enthusiasts/collectors are like this. They buy from brands available in shopping centres that they can try in-store.

Tommy will slap it's brand on anything massively cheapening it, IMO.

    Gaming set: https://www.tommynz.com/products/black-tommy-hilfiger-th-gam…

Putting it on such low quality overpriced crap is treating customers with contempt.

For those wondering, this is manufactured by Movado group: https://www.movadogroup.com/brands/tommy-hilfiger

    • You mean Tommy (slap it with a) Gunn?

    • +1

      WTF hahahaha

    • Thing is Movado has some decent stuff. You just don't know what level of components are in here. But knowing Tommy it's probably going to be bottom of the barrel. But I just can't confirm. It's be nice if someone buys it to know what quartz movement it is.

Basing it off this it seems like a cheaper Seiko movement which isn't too bad.

  • 48mm lol that size is going to look ridiculous on most peoples wrists.

Rubbish brand, rubbish specs , rubbish quality .

Better of getting a Pagani or Ali express watch

    • The size is for show off :P
      That's why it's a fashion watch.

I have seen a father and adult son wore very big size watch during previous new year's eve …

      • I don't know.. I've always wanted in my collection the breitling super avenger.. it's just something I don't have in my current collection. I have a pilot, diver, lots of dress watches but not a big casual watch… the size is fine but I have a bigger wrist to begin with.. I think it just depends.

        • Breitling make nice watches but they are beastly watches especially the pilots.

the 18mm thickness is going to also knock against things much more easily too so as a daily it might be something to consider.

Also if you do go and try it on put it on your wrist and look at it from the side not just from the top down.

  • Also in black with black silicone strap for the same price:
    https://www.amazon.com.au/Tommy-Hilfiger-1791072-Silicone-An…

There's a squillion things I'd rather try from AliE, but whatever.
