Hello, for those people based in Darwin, where do you want to go this year for OzBargain's 18th?

Considering it will be held in November, we need to consider an indoor or covered area as it may rain.

    Hello. Didn't recognise the username as you've changed it? but good to see you're organising again.

    Somewhere with aircon would be great. I'm off travelling for work in the first week of November, but otherwise available for the rest of the month.

    Not fussed with the venue really.

    Some new-ish venues for consideration:
    * The Cinema Collective - Flicks / Sweethearts
    * Flora's Temper (open Friday/Saturday for dinner)

    Casual options:
    * Parap Tavern (indoor playground)
    * Stokes Hill Wharf (varying options, but Sancho's for tacos and outdoor playground)

    Hello Voe, it looks like it will just be you and I (and our family). I was thinking Parap Tavern at 6pm on Friday either 15, 22 or 29 of November 2024. What are you thoughts. Happy to hear you thoughts.

        The online booking did not have an 6pm option, so I picked 18:45hrs.

      Hey beardo, please note that the event timing has been postponed by a week.

      I think the kids can probably be covered by the budget set determined by the number of users registered provided we don't exceed the limit. Currently set at 5 registrations Otherwise it'll probably be at your own additional cost.

    Hey JaymeRyan.

    I hope you're well. I had replied to you private message offering to host, but unsure if you got the notification.

    I am happy to act as host if you are unable to attend. I am not concerned if you wish to attend if you feel well enough. I had caught Covid for the 3rd time last month, and recovered in a couple of days. Low risk of reinfection so soon and there are no isolation requirements imposed by the government.

    If you're still wanting to attend or host, I think delaying it a week to 29 November is also a good idea.

      Thanks to admin staff for the help. The Date has been pushed forward to the Friday 29 November 2024, at 6:30pm. Sorry for the inconvenience I may have caused. The venue, Parap Tavern, has not changed.

      It's been delayed to next week, as a co-host got Covid. I'm intending to bring my 3 year old. We'll see if we need to increase the number of seats, as I expect the kids will be mostly in the playground.
