  • I've got the PX8's. Very nice headphones.

Looks like this model suffers the same annoyance (same layout of buttons), but the ANC control button is in the exact spot I put my thumb to take off my headphones and put them back on. Always trigger the ANC controls, very frustrating.

interesting I've had PX7 S2e for a while (and PX7 mk1 before that) and never happened to me

      • same here, not an issue to me.

    • PX8 costs twice as much as PX7 S2e.

I assume the PX7's are still decent based on the PX8's

I've had the Bose QC35ii for years now, my second pair in fact. is it worth upgrading at all? These seem perfectly fine.

    • I've been really happy with mine and I think this is a fair price. The ANC probably won't be as good as your Bose (not as good as my Sony xm3), but everything else is a good upgrade.

    • My mate works at a audio shop, he reckons the QC35ii's are still the best bang for buck/convenient/sound quality/comfort cans on the market. I think they're now labelled SE instead of QC35ii.

At the end of the day it is a bluetooth headphone so you immediately lose the argument against an audiophile who'll tell you its worth spending $800 for something 'better'. It's just not worth it.

    • I also upgraded from qc45 to these pairs. Very good sound and it worths spending.

Bose: much more solid ANC. this is no contest, PX7 S2e doesn't have ANC that is this good. but when it comes to SQ, Bose is good, but not great

PX7 S2e is much, much more fun to listen to compared to Bose, not to mention that it supports higher definition codecs

P.S. I got both: QC SC, and PX7 S2e. when I need ANC the most (plane, commute, meetings at the office) I grab Bose. When I need sound quality, I grab PX7

  • This or Sennheiser Momentum 4?

B&W are viewed as higher end headphones.
It has even 24 bit D/A onboard and two are really in different leagues.

  • Honestly I'd steer clear of this model. I have a pair. Sound quality wise they are probably best in the class. Everything else is below par.

    • ANC is rubbish, the sonys wipe these clean any day of the week. But the main problem is the slight background tick that is a common problem in these models. It can be fixed and it's a little bit pot luck, but seriously for a set this price, I expect a lot better. The replacement still has the tick but just a lot less noticable.
    • Then there is the dropouts. This thing is like trying to find any excuse to disconnect. Sometimes during a video changover (one ends and the other starts) it thinks I've taken them off and auto disconnects. Sometimes I adjust them on my head and it turns off. Sometimes it just decides it will just cut out for no reason at all.

Google these problems it's common and basically not acceptable for this price product.
