      Jokes aside. Ordered. It's a series that I've always wanted to get into. At some point in the 2000s I had some random comic of it and use to love the games in the arcade.

        It's definitely one of the cult classics. Watch the anime too if you love yourself a bit of Eurobeat, the animation still holds up pretty well, outside of the CG cars.

    Would love to get these but what would I need to get first to start the collection and how much is it gonna cost me

      The third omnibus comes out next month but you can pre-order it

      There's 48 volumes of Initial D in total so it will add up if they continue this as 2 volumes per omnibus through the whole run…

      Seems buying the original manga volumes 1 to 48 is around $800-$1000 on eBay, compared to buying 24 omnibus at $30 each for $720 total. If you were to buy the 24 at the rrp of $40 each it'd be $960. The omnibus has a new translation though and not sure if the paper/print is better quality or not?

        So I found a reddit post saying that this Omnibus is horrible quality. Paper bleed, pages stuck together all the way through to different heights in the paperbacks
