Decent starter stud finder back on sale from $16.04 (Amazon) & from $22.15 (62% off) (according to Honey).

I purchased it from last $8.52 deal 3 months ago & haven't ran into any issues for basic wall mounting (but nothing heavy/deep, or wires yet).

  It was hit and miss with me. Would find stud sometimes only. As others suggested magnets makes sense :)

    I followed Amazon review by Jessica (155 votes) on how to use it, and never ran into any misses yet.

  Bought one of these and assuming it’s completely faulty

  No matter where I use it it gives me a full tone whether it’s against any part of the wall or not
