Oasis Coming Back to Australia 2025

So Oasis decided to come back together after their infamous bust-up in 2009. Their UK concerts were all sold out at record times. Now they have announced that they are coming to Australia as part of their World Tour:

Melbourne, Australia – Marvel Stadium 31st October 2025
Sydney, Australia – Accor Stadium 7th November 2025

Tickets on sale Tuesday 15th October

10am AEDT Melbourne
12pm AEDT Sydney

Given the mania when Taylor Swift came, would Oasis have a similar effect? Or will we be witnessing Champagne Supernova on stage?

Are you planning to get a ticket yourself?

These days I find the stress and frustration of trying to buy concert/large event tickets (along with the insane pricing and don't get me started on "dynamic pricing" which should be flat out legislated out of existence) ends up outweighing the enjoyment and 'experience' of attending the event.

I expect Ticketek/ticketmaster and oasis will end up being the same "waiting room"/"made up queue" frustration, at the mercy of whatever 'algorithm' they run decides if you're worthy of whatever tickets they haven't already sold off to influencers, VIPs, promoters etc :)

      dynamic pricing
Is just another word for ticket scalping

      • +1

just another word for ticket scalping

dunno, even some scalpers at least are upfront about their pricing :)

  • +1

    Meh.

Considering the dates are 7 days apart, they'll sell out the current shows, then add 2 more.

Had to drive from Brisbane to Sydney for Taylor Swift - won't be doing that again for Oasis.

    • +1

      "Had to"?
      .

      • semantics kek

My partner bought tickets but I was not keen on getting gouged on hotels and flights. Same thing will happen with Oasis, if it hasn't already.

If they do a Brisbane show, maybe

Oasis coming back To Australia 2025

    You can it here now

    • Alternatively, you can do this now

I'll be surprised if they can hold their sh*t together long enough to get to the Australian leg of the tour. They'll probably break up again before then.

    • I fully believe the public hate for each other has been completely fabricated for years. They were always known for being bratty and slagging off anyone they could to the media, it's their entire schtick!

Noel has simply been happy doing his thing, the only real reason they didn't get back together was it simply wasn't a priority.

Now, 15 years later, the myth of the band has reached levels it never would have otherwise. They played the Hordern Pavillion (~6k cap) last time they were in Oz, now they're playing stadiums 80k+ cap and are clearly expecting them to sell out.

  • I am beyond excited, genuinely.

    Yawn

Negative interest in participating in this scam from live nation/AEG or whatever corporate monolith organising this. Good luck to the punters who wish to attend and go through the horrible experience in acquiring a ticket.

It's all a mirage, no Oasis for Adelaide.

Beat me to it…upvote for you

      Adelaide is an oasis.

a comedic retelling of their last trip to Australia

  • I don’t want to pay $10000 to see them.

  • Any news of a Blur tour?

    • +1

They broke up after the Coachella shows I believe

      • They might get back to together to reignite the Britpop wars.

        • Yeah a race to the DHSS pension application

  • seen them a couple times back in the day, would mainly be keen for this because it's definitely a last time thing i reckon. its a cash grab, and they'll probably clear a billion+ by the end.. be lucky if they don't break up before they get here. but still even $300 would kinda be pushing it for GA. i think they could play accor stadium 2 nights, if not 3 fairly easily and seems like they'll just announce more… but i won't bother if the tickets are pushing 300 for nosebleeds and 700+ for standing…

the dynamic / surge pricing nonsense they've pulled overseas with ticketmaster, or whatever they're calling it has been disgusting and should be straightup illegal.

seems like they're already pulling some nonsense, building hype, harvesting mobiles and balloting chances to buy presale tickets yesterday lol… this is what happens when you support monopolies… if you're gonna tour, set a price & stand by it…

  • I would like to see them, but I won't be bothering.

Endless 'queues' in the 'waiting room' to buy a ticket, and then discover everything is sold out

Multiple 'presales' for every major sponsor. I look forward to the 'Telstra sale' followed by the 'Visa sale' and then 'Scratched my nutsack sale', before the tickets go on "official" sale and there are 3 left.

And add dynamic pricing on top. No thanks.

  • I don't have anything against Oasis and even saw them in the 90s, but am amazed at the level of interest for a band that are generally acknowledged to have only released 2 decent albums that haven't aged particularly well.

Another example of hype feeding hype losing sight of what it is actually for.

    Who's Oasis?

    • +1

      Whatever

  • Definitely Maybe

  • ooh good timing. Was singing Whats the story morning glory when i woke.

  • Well, you know this will add to inflation - as per the Taylor Swift tour downunder. Please people - we can't afford it !! LOL @ RBA

  • Just glad that I’ve never given one cent to these arrogant, untalented brothers.

  • I would see them and be willing to pay $150 max. Any higher is pure greed by ticket sites and in the words of Noel they can 'go and get stuffed'!

  • They are sh1te.

Check out Tripod singing three Oasis songs at once. This is an old Hey Hey It's Saturday clip with fantastic mono audio.
Tripod - Oasnis yea (Oasis medley)

This is a finished version later recorded (audio only)
Tripod - Oasnis Yeah (Oasis Medley) live on Andrew Denton

  • Wake me up when Suede or Pulp come over.

But in all honesty, I'd love to see them but the unlikelihood I'd get tickets means I probably won't even bother. Plus in Adelaide so additional issues with travel and whatnot. So I'll wait and see Crash Test Dummies and Stone Temple Pilots when they visit Adelaide instead.

  • Anyone getem ballot code

    • Yes I did and so did my wife so I suspect a lot of people did.

      • +1

Good luck. I don't even want to go

  • I was in straight away then selected my seats went to add them to the cart then it kicked me out. I now have 20000 people in front of me. Bloody hell.

  • I got in at position 1175 and picked 2 seats (cheapest $187.5 ones at the top) ASAP and just checked out. It was actually quite quick as I only waited 5 minutes in the queue.

    • Lucky you, I was 20000 in the queue now down to 8000 but I have to pick my kids up from school soon.

      • Hopefully you can get your tickets very soon ….. Just leave the kids at school waiting a bit ;p

        • +1

Yes I got in with 5 minutes to spare before I had to leave. All sorted, could only secure the tickets that were $258 tho and not the cheapest but oh well.

          • @onetwothreefour: Well, that is the second cheapest ticket available so you did well after getting back to the queue. Most of the inner ring seats are $411 for seat only or even >$700 for fan packages

          • @onetwothreefour: Happy for you, and sorry that happened

            • +2

@Gdsamp: Thanks, I know they are not to everyone's taste but I have been a fan for over 25 years and never seen them before mostly due to being young and broke and they never came to where I lived. Now I am old and not so broke anymore I don't care that I have paid so much, I would have paid more if there were no other seats available at this price.

  • I totally forgot it was today. Logged into Ticketmaster at 3:30pm and it said I require a special presale code. Went looking in my junk mail to my surprised I was selected. Only 4 people ahead on the queue and waited for less than 1 minute. Saw only $268 tickets left and just quickly purchased one on the upper seating area. Was a painless process. Pleasantly surprised. Was demand not as strong?

    • There was 20,000 people in the queue in front of me and most of the presale tickets seem to be sold out now with the exception if the seats right at the back, not sure how the seats furthest away are priced that expensive, I get they are front facing but I'd rather be closer and to the side.
