  • Re: Acrobat Pro 1 Year. Any reason why don't we just get Adobe Acrobat Pro 2020 Student Teacher which is a perpetual licence vs this one which is a subscription?

    https://softwaresite.com.au/adobe-acrobat/150-adobe-acrobat-…

Ignore the eligibility as I am just purely looking into functionality-wise.

Honestly people should just stop using Adobe products wherever they can.

Absolute scum bag company that makes my life hell with their dumb updates removing features and pretending like they are licence gated when they aren't.

      • I agree. This is only come up because my licensed Adobe Acrobat Pro X that I bought many years ago (involving 2x moving house) suddenly went back to trial and I had enough of the nag. I am quite prepared to wear the nag but thinking if $150 is worth getting rid of this hassle.

But what would you suggest as an alternative for creating PDFs (forms), editing, and e-signature?

        • The problem is always editing.

I suggest to so many users that just need view and sign to just use Edge or Chrome as the PDF handler.

Foxit used to be awesome but it's now paid and a similar price to Adobe.

Cutepdf went weird and now I don't trust it.

There's another one starting with N I can't remember but I've got a windows image with it built in that's not bad.

  • 12 ml th price for CC all apps student/teacher is a banger, considering the full price is like $900.

Is the student/teacher version nerfed in any way? And does it make you prove eligibility?

    • No, it's the full version. You would have to upload proof of enrolment before you can activate the plan.

      • I assume you're not able to renew or extend your current Student/Teacher subscription with this code too?

        • In theory, I guess you would have to cancel on the month of the renew date to avoid the initial cancel fees. Then activate a new plan with the digital code that you bought. (Not sure if the code has an expiry date.)

What I used to do during the month of renew for my commercial plan was to cancel my subscription and adobe usually offered 40% to renew on the spot before you commit. They did not offer a discount this year, so I dropped it completely. Now I'm back on CC5.5 lol

Looks like it just needs an educational email. Easily done.

  • Bought two years worth of the Photography Plan and saved $60, or one slab of beer in international currency - cheers to you NotABunny!

  • Discounted student price only for the first year, unless you have multiple student accts?

    https://www.adobe.com/au/creativecloud/buy/students.html
" The Adobe Creative Cloud student discount price of A$21.99/mo (A$263.88/yr) incl. GST lasts for the first year of your membership, and increases to A$50.99/mo (A$611.88/yr) incl. GST for subsequent years. For more information, see the terms and conditions. "
