  • Is this a sublimation printer?

  • Deal not showing for me, maybe expired?

    • Do you have Prime membership?

      • Yeah just says 4 options from $589

    • +1

Mine was the exact same, had to switch to a more 'suburban' address (inlaws) and the price appeared. Happening more frequently :(

  • Any advantages of this compared to a coloured Laser printer?

    • +4

      Cheaper ink compared to toner.

      • 100% agree. I buy cheapo inkjet ink from eBay by the litre and pump that shit in lol. Never had a problem except for clogged nozzles here and there but it's due to not printing for months at a time. A quick automated nozzle clean and it's good as new.

    • +1

Colours are generally more vibrant out of an inkjet (can't comment on this model specifically but if photos are your main aim, inkjet is the way to go).

On the opposite site, inkjet printers like to clog up if they're not used often. So if it's for sparse printing here and there, laser might be what you're after.

  • Brother laser or this. Looking for home use

    • +1

This if you are looking for a great colour output and cheaper running cost

    • +1

This can be used for photo printing, the laser can't

    • Colour then this, laser black and white then brother

  • This or ET2810

  • No AirPrint? Apparently relies on an App instead. Not on Epson’s list of AirPrint printers.

    • ET 2850 have AirPrint I believe

    • It AirPrints.

    I bought this for $579 about 18 months ago…

    Great printer…

The only thing I wish it did was auto 2-sided scanning which my previous inkjet could do, but this is 100x cheaper in ink usage…

  • Connectivity technology Wi-Fi

    ethernet too…

  • Any duo tray Epson ecotank printer at a good price that does auto duplexing. I don't need scanning feature.

  • +2

    Can it phone home?

  • Anyone recommend a 3rd party compatible ink for these?

    • +1

Genuine is more reliable and still way cheaper than cartridges

  • Just ordered from the good guys with price match and pick up in an hour.

Thanks to OP for posting the deal.

  • Possible to print photos on photo paper, i.e. 250gsm glossy?

  • Really good deal. Can someone help what’s the difference between ET-5150 and ET2850? Is spending $45 more on the ET-5150 worth it?

Looking to replace a 10 year old brother printer with no Wifi.

Looking for a printer with wifi capabilities and dual page printing.

I've owned both. The 2850 broke in a move so I bought the 5150 last time it was $400.

Prefer the 5150. The 2850 doesn't hold much paper and it side vertical so when you do go to print with it, gravity has often bent the pages and with larger documents, the paper wouldn't be caught at the end.

I just prefer to ease of the 5150, with the feed in scanning, the paper tray and the way it catches the paper when its printed. They're little things but I prefer them.

Although the 5150 is a much bigger unit.
