    • Not if the OP beats it!!

    • +3

Their SIM must be activated within 30 days of purchase.

    No deal. Topcashback much better.

A lot of people are on this sim from January 2024 deals. They would be wasting 3 months of using using the topcashback deal. They would want minimum January 2025 expiry

i think people are misunderstanding the advantage that this product provides. The key selling point here is the - SIM Expiry 11/04/2026.

    • +2

while saying that though, I do feel that OP is price gouging. As the expiry date nears, these will go much further down in price

Agree, just need to wait a bit if you can.

  • Are we sure any of these can be redeemed after October? I recently activated one of these sims and it was $230 of credit and asked me to pick a plan.

If boost remove the $230 plan how will this work?

    • In the past I have activated an old sim on an old plan after the plan was removed. You just get the inclusions of the original plan.

I just went onto chat with Boost and was advised that you won’t be able to activate after they cease the plan in late October. My current plan expires in November and I have a longer expiry sim I was going to activate then. Was goin to buy a second sim for the next year, but won’t do so now.

@Lucky Mobile can you confirm this information?

      • That is as I expected based on how their porting platform is built. It appears to provide $230 credit and then asks you to select from a range of plans and has a warning about the $230 12 month plan ending. I don't think it will be as simple as buy a sim and activate it whenever, which is a shame as I wanted to grab a couple for family members.

        • That's not how it's worked in the past though? For example when the sim prices went from $200 to $230, you could still activate older sim cards on the discontinued $200 plan.

          • @Ezio: I can confirm this is what happened with me.

    • +5

That is what our supplier told us. The SIM needs to be activated before its expiry date. No matter whether $230 plan is still at Boost website or not. Similar case happened before when Boost removed its $150 and $200 plan. There was no any issues when people activated the $150 or $200 Boost SIM after the plan is removed from their website as long as before the SIM expiry date.

    @Lucky Mobile

Concerned over the above comment. Come November if these are confirmed working I'll take a few.. because we don't need them until mid next year it's rather risky

  • Please ignore. Just waffling crap.

My Boost just expired in the last 48 hours. I am usually where there is Wi-fi and barely make a call so I haven't yet even bothered to recharge.

I realise prices increase later this month. Not sure what to do. $230 on the website in the next few days but if I go the route of this post I need to port out and port back I believe to save that $28 (as I'd have to buy a $2 sim). The deal that has a $77 cashback or whatever it is I read some posts you guys wrote saying it didn't track in the past etc. Then that's also a port out/port in plus the cashback dance (with a chance it won't be honoured).

I'm trying to stop myself from just giving Boost $230 tonight. Is the $28! really worth it? I recall calling call centres last year and waiting in chats and delays etc. Sorry for the rant. Just wondering if I have any part of this wrong as there are 2 phones in this household in the same situation.

ill bite on this. dont make me go all Karen if this doesn't work in March 2025

  • Tried to check out but charged me $5 postage.

Hi, please select regular letter with tracking which is free.

      • Will these sims like the Boost Webstie do 5G data on 5G phones with no issues?

        • +1

          Yes, I'm using one myself.

  • Hi all,

Just out of curiosity, my current Boost expires in 2 days. Can I let it lapse/expire (of course, I won’t be able to make or receive calls but that’s ok) and buy a new Starter sim pack $230 and use it still using my old expired/lapsed mobile phone number?

    Any advise would be appreciated.

    Thanks all.

    • I think Boost will hold your number for 6 months after last recharge, but to use a Starter pack you might need to port out and then back in.

People have been successful applying a starter pack to an existing account but I don't know the success rate.

  • Thanks for that info. Appreciated.
