Have one of these and works well - really good for travel also. Obviously not as powerful as a big unit with a stand but great bang for buck cost and storage wise.

fill 50% tap water + 50% distilled water

    • Just curious - why not 100% distilled water?

100% tap water is even better

100% distilled water is bad and will corode metals over time. You should never use distilled water.

          Boiled tap water is best.

@Mechz: Boiled tap water achieves nothing extra compared to unboiled tap water

    • Like a Brita filtered water will do?

    • Rain water??

It's only really worth if you travel quite a bit and need to steam one or two items and you can't be bothered to use an iron.

If you're using this at home then you're better off getting something else.

Just borrow his, I’m sure he doesn’t use her all the time.

What would you reccomend for general use at home? Heard mixed reviews on the Kmart one.

      • Using my housemates' Philips as listed and it does the job for my cotton dress shirts and cotton-synthetic mix dress pants. However, I do tend to pick checkered shirts which undoubtedly hide wrinkles a bit better.

      • I'd look at either the Kambrook or Sunbeam one.

I wanted one with a larger water container so I didn't need to refill it as often, the Kmart one is quite small for my needs. I've got a lot of tops that I use it on.

For men's clothes, I'm not sure I would recommend. It'll get some wrinkles and creases out for shirts and pants, but it's not going to be as good as an iron.

      • I’ve had success with a Sunbeam.

    • Do you use distilled water? Or 100% tap water is fine?

      • +2

I've only ever used tap water.

        • Thanks 😊

Stand just behind your car and point this at oncoming drivers to slow the hoons in your street.

I use this at home too but for not all the time. The amount of water it has is only enough for like to iron two pieces of cloths. It does its job.

    • I barely iron, so its generally 1-2 items. Is it easier than an iron? I'm shit house at using one, takes me ages lol.

      Might be worth grabbing one

  • up to 20g/min

dont expect much from this steamer.

I have 40g/min at home and its ok. not great, but ok.

I have stopped ironing and only used this to steam my clothes almost every day for a year now. No issues.

  • Do you guys get water stain on your clothes when using this steamer? Mine leaves water stain on my clothes. Or am I not suppose to press the steamer directly on the clothes?

      Are U using distilled water?
