That's a really expensive cleaner haha

Have seen it much cheaper. Not a bad price but would have been better

  • How many malts?

Still very hard to come by in Japan, unless you pay top ‘tourist’ dollar (Yen) for it. Amazon JP sell it on lottery, where you sign up to buy and they’ll let you know if you are one of the lucky few

Tbh, it’s really not worth the price. There are other Japanese whiskies that are equally as good for a much better price, not to mention the hundreds of Scotch whiskies.

I bought 3 bottles of Yamazaki 12 few years ago for $100 each or something. Finally tried one the other day. Man , what a let down for What is now a $400 bottle.
Glenfiddich 12 or even Singletons 12 is way better in my pleb opinion.

      • Y12 will taste better after a few weeks/months.

        • I have to open a 12 year old scotch and then wait months for it to be “better”? What’s it been doing for 12 years? Anyway , just my unqualified opinion.

Better to try and sell it to some shmuck willing to pay $400 for it. And use the money to buy a bottle of the Glenfiddich 15 + 18 and still have cash to spare for a nice meal.

        • That’s a good plan. Any shmucks interested?

          • @furiousgeorge: Got 1 free from Dan last year. Was over $400 by that time. Currently $300 at Amazon. $250 is a good resell price for now I guess or more yield after the prime sales. But but any shmucks?

  • Glad I bought 6 Hibiki Masters Select for $165 a couple years ago from Melbourne Duty Free before it became Lotte (now overpriced)

    • Wines are still better buys, yes?

    • +1

$199 now. Singapore was around $165 aud though. Good drink though!

  • Still too much for my liver, wallet, sanity and mental anguish.
