  • if it is similar to other cards, input a pin of your choosing on first transaction. After the first use, that will now be the PIN

    • Maybe not the case. Used a just-activated card, tried 0000 but got declined.

You need to contact TCN customer support to obtain the PIN for that type of gift card.

I am a little surprised you were asked for a PIN at Woolworths, because when you use a TCN digital eftpos gift card from a mobile wallet, it should support CDCVM, which usually bypasses the requirement to provide a PIN. I last used this gift card at Woolworths nearly a month ago and was not been asked for a PIN, even for a higher-value transaction. The only situations I would foresee a PIN still being requested for this gift card at Woolworths would be for eftpos cashout (which is not allowed on this gift card, anyway) and a refund transaction.

Thanks, I was trying to pay $400 and pin was required.

      • Did you get a pin code?

        • Did you get a PIN? I encountered the same issue yesterday, failed to find a solution. I was paying $100 at Woolworths

          • @Meteor Anarcom: I was unable to get the PIN for a digital version of a card. They asked me to pay $99.99 or less.

            • @san87: Thanks. I was 1c over the limit

@Meteor Anarcom: If your item was exactly $100 do split payment and pay $99.98 at a self checkout that accepts cash, the 2c will be rounded away.

Or else split payment and pay $99 several times.

Also for another gift card (can't remember what) I was asked for a PIN and I pressed enter without typing any numbers, it worked.

                • @surfingedge: That was Vanilla Visa which doesn't need a PIN. I'm first time using TCN eftpos so I didn't know these, redeemed from a promotion
