If you're selling to consumers directly your prices should include GST.

It's standard for the industry as they are technically B2B (but open to B2C) and primarily deal in commercial hospitality equipment. Also, there is a toggle at the top of the website to include GST if you wish.

Source: I used to work in the industry

      • Saying it is 'standard' does not make it legal

If a business is displaying prices to consumers, the ACCC (Australian Competition & Consumer Commission) requires the quoted price to be clear, accurate and not misleading to consumers. It should state the total price of the good or service as a single figure that includes tax and other additional charges, including GST.

        source: ACCC

        • They do give you a single figure prior to checkout. You can exclude GST or shipping on the product landing page, as long as the website shows the total cost prior to consumers making payment. Same reason why you don't have the total shipped price showing on most e-commerce product pages: it's shown at checkout.

          • @d3al: It needs to be the advertised display price according to the ACCC laws.

            • @jv: And they do. Before you check out. As along as you have the total price displayed at any point prior to purchasing, that's OK.

  • There are some bargains to be had but it really depends if (all) the items you want are in stock at the one store, $30 delivery kills the deal.

Didn't get everything I wanted but a boning knife, 30cm slicer and 1L vacuum flask for $9 isn't bad.
