What to Do with Belong's nbn Sign up $80 SIM and The $20 Referal Credit

I am signing up for Belong's nbn service and Belong is issuing a free $80 SIM and $20 credit if I use a referral code. But I don't need another mobile number. https://www.belong.com.au/go/our-free-sim

I asked Belong and of course they are not transferrable and the $80 cannot be used to pay the nbn fee. Is the $80 SIM locked to a name? Or the same as those sold in shops? Is it transferable in the classified section here or on Facebook?

PS: how is the Belong nbn modem (From Sagem, zte, Huawei, etc)? WiFi 6?

    Had a look at Belong's offerings for 25/50/100 Mbps and it's $65/80/90 per month.

    That's not very competitive. It's even more than 'premium' providers like Superloop who also offer a 'free' eero6+ router.

    You can get far cheaper providers and not have to worry about a free SIM that's useless to you. Examples:

    If you’re with Belong Mobile, then activate the SIM, data transfer (gift) to yourself , then cancel service. Easy free gigs!

    Time to begin sim surfing or sell it although you wont get near 80 it
