[NSW, VIC, QLD] Lilydale Free Range Hot Roast Chicken $8.99 (Was $13) @ Ritchies IGA (Selected Stores)

730

Beats the Coles deal by $1. Plus I'd personally rather support these guys.

Not in my IGA catalogue. Probably a Ritchie's birthday special

    • Doesn't show up on my local ritches catalogue either. Maybe it's only select stores?

      • Will probably be at least Supa IGAs

  • Well done Ritchie!

    The chicken wars have begun.

    • Better plotline than the last Star Wars movie. ;-)

    RANT
Why do Coles schedule their fresh chickens to come out at 1pm?

At 11:45am, I want a fresh juicy chicken not the dried out husk that has been sitting in the warmer since 8:20am.

      You sound entitled

      • Bachelors gotta eat

        • Clearly not a issue others have.

BBQ chicken with some fresh bread, cheese and condiments is a simple Saturday lunch that everyone enjoys. If chickens are not available then the alternative might be is Sushi which can be $150 to feed the family.

            @mathew42:

            that everyone enjoys

bro thinks he speaks for everyone now

            • @beltdrive: Clearly he is talking about everyone in his family. It even says the words “to feed the family”.

          • @mathew42: Learn to cook

This is the least silly thing to be entitled about. Nothing wrong with wanting a roast chook early inthe day

        • Sometimes the individual needs to adjust. Besides, it probably depends on the location.

          • +2

@EitherWayUp: It’s not just an individual. A lot of people are wanting a roast chicken to make lunch with at 11:45am

            • +2

@Skatez: I really didn’t know this was a wide spread problem… I apologise for the deep offence I have cause to those not getting their roast chickens at 11:45am.

Supermarkets allow them to sit in the warmer for 4 hours - so typically, 9am first batch, 1pm second batch and 5pm last batch where the deli closes at 9pm, giving them time to clean the oven and the premise.

That's how my local operates anyway.

      • 1:20-1:30 is where my local coles start their mark down

Tradies eat lunch earlier than that… so selfish haha

      • -1

What does a tradies lunch have anything to do with someone wanting a fresh chicken for their family at the NORMAL time?

  • get some hot chook in ya!

Go see how they farm these poor birds, pumped full of antibiotics and cannot support their own weight as they grow so fast, go vegan or at least vegetarian

  • the question is how tf to get to a riotchies iga ?>
