Huawei Watch Buds $438 Delivered @ Skyphonez via Wise Market

60

I have been looking for one of these for a year to pair with my $149 5G phone, but I could never justify the $800+ price. Now, I had to get one at $438 for a brand-new smartwatch with built-in earbuds.

Will probably get about as much use as my Casio calculator watch :-D

  • Pretty good sound and noise cancelling on this one, plus no need to carry buds in my ear all the time.

I prefer the Huawei health app over the others.

    What a bizarre contraption.

So odd. Is this like a new thing for smartwatches. Did anyone ask for this or need this functionality?
Seems like a huge waste of space that could have been used for more battery life for the watch.

3 days charge vs apple 1 daily charging.

        • Advertised, it's only about 1/3 larger capacity. But also, saying it has better life than an apple watch is not saying much.
What I'm saying is, just imagine how much life they could have got by replacing the headphone space with more battery. They might be able to advertise a whole week! Surely more people want a longer battery life than a very specific headphone holder?

          • @NigelTufnel: Apples and Bananas. I had a previous version of Huawei that lasted 19 days on a charge, now 2 years later it lasts 8 days.

But still had the issue of forgetting my earbuds or having to carry a plug to charge them when they are low is annoying. This solves the problem for me. I didn't have much expectation for the ear buds either, but they are quite good and noise cancelling works a charm.

      • What are talking about? It's the worst of both worlds, for one high price. Even at $438 you could get a better smartwatch and some decent wireless buds, to me the combining of the two, so you don't have to carry the buds separately feels like a very small and niche benefit.

Were you meaning to respond to me? Because I agree with you hence asking "Did anyone ask for this or need this functionality?". I don't think so…

I had no idea what these were, so just in case anyone else is as ignorant as me: 😆😉

What is unique about the design of the Huawei Watch Buds?

The Huawei Watch Buds are available in an all-new 2-in-1 design: inside this smartwatch, there is a pair of real wireless earbuds. Opening like a lid, its dial face can open upwards to reveal the earbuds. This all-new design incorporates two devices into one, making a user's life easier and less cluttered.

  • Don’t deal with skyphonez they’re mad liars.

This deal is for convenience. If you usually bring your bag to go out, it's cheaper to buy smartwatch and earbuds separately and keep them in your bag.

If I have $149 5G phone, I don't want to pay $438 for smartwatch and earbuds together. Maybe better value to buy Huawei Band 9 + this earbuds:

Huawei Band 9 has great accuracy too. One of the best outside Apple watches.

Personally I don't like the $438 price as it is not cheap enough for me. I have Huawei GT-Runner smartwatch (paid $249 during Black Friday from Bing Lee from Ozb info) and Edifier TWS1 Pro earbuds (paid $60 from Aliexpress).

My watch can last around 1 week and one of the best smartwatch in term of heart rate accuracy after Apple watches, Huawei GT3 Pro, and Pixel Watch 3. Many other brands are less accurate than my smartwatch. Check youtube "The Quantified Scientist" for real tests of smartwatches accuracy.

My earbuds was one of the best earbuds in term of long battery life and sound quality at the time when I bought it (check scarbir website for comparison of many earbuds). It had around 11 hours on a single charge after I bought it. I still use both smartwatch and earbuds until now.

Many devices with short battery life will become electronic waste faster than devices with long battery life because of battery degradation.

    • Your Ozbarg logic is flawless.

My Huawei Fit lasted me two years and still charges for eight days. But I need a good set of buds and was budgeting $300 for them. So, an extra $148 for something to hold them and charge them on my arm is a no-brainer.

      A Good review

Have had a pair of these for over a year. Real life usage will get about 3 maybe 4 days on a full charge.

I find them really useful because I no longer need to carry earphones on top of my keys and phone.

Small win but I find it beneficial. Sometimes when I have them in my ears and someone tries to talk to me, as I put them back into the watch they can't help but ask what/how I just did that
