Perplexing Amazon AU pricing on Bosch Ratchet Screwdriver

Long time lurker, first time poster:

Two weeks ago I purchased a Bosch Rachet Screwdriver for $30 after missing the last deal. I thought it was pretty decent for the price. I wanted to purchase a few more for work only to notice the price went up to $111.22 on the 24th of September. Since then, I've been watching it climb each day. This is probably something that can be reported but I'm partly curious how high it can get. Has anyone seen this kind of thing on Amazon before? Automated increase or they really don't want me buying another one.

Here's its Amazon price history

  • Definitely some type of glitch. Instead of posting on here (where we can’t do anything) just contact them and they’ll fix it.

Can I get a refund for the one I just paid $1,479.57 for?

      I had 1-Click turned on…😞

      • I think you're screwed.

  • I mean, price gouging is technically not illegal

I always just thought when this sort of stuff happens it's because they have run out of stock and would maybe it's easier to make the price unrealistic so no one buys it instead of marking it as out of stock

    • Pretty common on platforms that charge businesses for listing but its free to edit the price.

  • The Amazon Basics one is just as good and almost half the price you paid.

I did buy the Bosch Stubby last year because it was cheap and their is no Amazon Basics.

  • What's the issue here?

I've a few Amazon items with crazy fluctuation in prices:

  • Party's over. It's back to $30 this evening.

    Was amusing while it lasted!
