For those looking for plans 100mbps and lower this is a no brainer for at least six months.
"Offer ends 31/08/24" but it did not end.
CGnat Opt out allowed, Australian Call Centre.
Upstream Provider: Vocus Communications same as (Dodo)

but its mate network! horrible
CVC's are part of that network, and even than there's peering.
CVC's are part of that network
Not from 100 plus plans and soon to be removed from lower plans too…
I don't know where you got these BS from, they are definitely not the same. For me, Optarse has been the worst I have had so far, super high laterncy and occasional drop outs, second worst is Tangerine. Both had data breaches, go figure.
@dotJaz: i bet you are not fttp, every other technology including hfc is horror, it's your line
@SpeedAU: Lol, more BS. Explain to me why am I getting normal ping with Exetel, Aussie, Mate, with no drop outs but not Tangerine/More and Optarse then?
Keyboard warrior dictates how my line quality is, nice. Maybe HFC experience momentary weakness once a day between 2am-4am then. /s
@dotJaz: it's people like you that spread misinformation. I've had years of experience, worked for NBN, Superloop, ABB and more lol as a network engineer, know your stuff before commenting.
it really isn't
@SpeedAU: It really is. Shut up if you don't even understand what NBN is. NBN doesn't give you internet access. NBN is functionally no different than your "WiFi". It's literally just another leg of LAN.
It interfaces you to your ISP via CVC capacity (the first chokehold your ISP can have), then your ISP connects you to the internet via peering (second chokehold).
Who says. Been on mate for 2 months (100/20 HFC) hasn’t missed a beat. Might of struggled 2-3 years ago based on dud forums but since all the riff raff have left been top notch
I was with mate for a while. Then they changed provider and it went horribly wrong. Constant drop outs and slow. I’ll do some reading as I need to move soon and 100/20 @$60 is the cheapest around
I'm with Dodo. Can I switch without notifying them before the end of 6 month period?
No you should tell them and formulate a cancellation of the service otherwise they will keep charging u regardless of if ur churn to someone else. That goes for anyone. Not just dodo
Swoop has 100/20 plan for $59/month.
Nice hopefully they still r offering this in a few months when I need to churn again!
Promo code not recognised
The promo is slightly misleading. It’s $25 off $94 which is $69. Not 59
How do you get this to follow through? I initially see the $59/month and then when I try to proceed, it goes up to $74/month.
You need to go to finder.com.au Find the plan and click through from there. It shows up as $59 for 100/20 for me.
$74 for me with LESS20 code only working.
Was ready to jump on this but it's $74 after selecting your address. Not sure how they can get away with saying one price and then giving another. What's up with that Swoop?
See my post above.
How difficult it is to switch NBN providers? Will I need a new modem? (I'm with TPG atm)
very easy, moose mobile will step you through with your current modem
So, do people actually switch providers every 6 months?
all the time, you save money unless your current provider chooses to extend for another 6 and then you may as well stay if you're happy, just talk to the retention team
@SpeedAU: Good to know, thanks!
I do now. Used to be lazy and stayed with Optus for as long as I can remember.
How good is Moose compared to other similar providers?
like Mate in Vic, Moose is Queensland based in fortitude valley
Since it's on Vocus, I wonder if they do IPv6 like Dodo does.
reach out to them
Just joined Swoop because I'm cheap. Let's see how it fairs.
let me know how you go, they have improved on network backend…. but still a little slow on international links ive heard.
With the Commbank Yello 35% discount, More Telecom is still slightly cheaper for me. 50/20 is $59.80, 100/20 is $62.40. And this is a 12 month discount, so there's no need to churn every 6 months.
And so far, I haven't had any issues with them.
Nice catch
Thanks, I got 40% discount - 100/20 for $57.60
And they have super cheap mobile plans with Yello - from $4 per month
I think you generally have to be a mortgage customer with CommBank to be eligible for the 40% discount tier.
Their mobile plans I believe have a flat $15 off through CommBank Yello.
Shopback have upsized $42 cashback for Exetel. If you only stay for the 6 months, you'll effectively pay $61.99/month ($68.99 before cashback) for the service.
Thanks bud didn't know that
How long did the tracking take?
Tracked a day after
Thanks @memez I just got notified that Superloop 100/20 is going up to $89.99, so I have jumped onto this
Mate is cheaper
