After my short lived deal ended quickly before the price increase here's the next cheapest on the best value CPU for gaming on this socket.

  • Apply the coupons QA3E9VVR2T3S and OZAF12 or AUOC12 at checkout

AU$ based on current Mastercard rate and GST inclusive.

For those paying in USD this is how you get the correct exchange rate in PayPal:

Setting overseas websites to AUD or letting PayPal do the currency conversion results in an inflated rate. To get the correct rate you need a card without international fees and do the following:

  • Set the website currency to USD
  • Checkout with PayPal
  • Select your card with no international fees
  • Click "See currency options"
  • Select USD to bill the card in USD instead of AUD
  • Proceed with checkout

Now you'll get the correct MasterCard or VISA exchange rate depending on the card.

  • After your deal ended, I ended up buying one at $243 aud total. Basically the best performance you'll get short of biting the bullet and going 7800X3D for a grand.

Though I will say, something odd is going on with the "Cainiao" shipping they (and every other 5700x3d store) use. Am yet to recieve mine as it appears to be stuck in air freight limbo.

    • I have bought this from another seller, two deals ago. Cainiao is telling me "Delivery delayed due to restricted delivery service in your area" but when I enter the tracking number to Aus post it says it is pending. It was suppose to come last week but didn't get any email or SMS from either company. So I guess I have to apply for a refund and wait for another month to get it

      • Bought mine from CP U store. Messaged them about it and it appears they have no clue as well. I think it's just Aliexpress' default method of shipping things now, and the "service commitment" doesn't mean jack either.

A far cry from what used to be a very quick and well-tracked service IMO. Guess I'll have to wait and see

        • Has yours arrived yet? I'm considering pulling the trigger

          • @Polska Kielbasa: Says it has been handed over to Auspost, I suspect it should arrive within 1-3 days after today's public holiday.

Literally all of the delivery notifications (left country, arrived in aus, cleared customs, arrived at office, etc) appeared yesterday. While the delivery estimate was only a week off, I still stand by my statement that I hate when international delivery tracking is as nebulous as this.

  • I've heard rumors of the 9800x3d coming out later this month due to poor sales of the 9000 series in general. Will be interesting to see if this pans out.
