    • yeah just get an uber or taxi to where you need to go don't bother driving places with a hire car. not worth it.

    Guests are responsible for the payment of excess of $3000 excl. GST for Section I & II each in the event of a claim
    Additional excess per section of $1000 for drivers younger than 24 years
    Additional excess per section of $1000 for drivers with less than 2 years driving experience

    Better hope you don't need the insurance.

  • When uber was doing car hire, it was only an extra $10 or something to reduce excess to something more palatable. I'd imagine (hope) these guys are the same?

    Car share platforms are not usually covered by travel insurance (for $0 excess).
