  • Any good deals with Koala ?

      • Offering Basic Respect To Staff, Customers

So they have the opposite policies to Jetstar ?

Just going to end up just like Rex and Bonza…

I wouldnt even bother booking with Koala unless if the flight is within 30 days, just too much of a chance for shit to go wrong down the line.

      • Just going to end up just like Rex and Bonza…

        Why?

Forced membership to get cheaper fares. No thanks. This practice needs to stop.

Forced membership to get cheaper fares

Do you shop at Costco ?

      • Paid membership? No thanks

        • What about Amazon Prime membership?

          • @jv: Cmon you know thats not a fair comparison.

              • @jv: One gives you access to free (likely next-day) delivery on essentially everything at VERY competitive costs, a B-rated music streaming service and one of the best movie/tv show streaming services. One gives you artificial 'discounts' on flights that you may use once a year depending on your frequency of travel. Guess which one costs $3 more per month.

How are they 'artificial ' ?

Does it? They still offer very cheap fares without it. I wouldn't sign up either but there is nothing illegal about it, this is what memberships are usually for, much the same as frequent flyer clubs, they make a customer more likely to stick with a brand rather than go elsewhere. You still have a choice to take it or not.
Do you have an Amazon Prime membership? That only gives members the most extensive free delivery and certain items at lower prices than non-members.

Forced to read Deals clearly marked as "Jetstar Club"??

      No - it's your choice.

Similar to those marked eBay Plus, Prime, & lots of other member only Deals. Just don't read if not interested!

Often cheap Deals in Jetstar Deals.
      But this is Jetstar Club.

it's why I gave up my MCC membership

Hmm not bad, seems like their previous return free deals are better.

  • it says $65 to join Club Jetstar?

    • yeah, price recently increased

Sometimes fares are cheaper being a non member

  • I wish they also offer the same 35% off on business class :(

Apologies for being nitpicky, but Incheon airport code is ICN. SEL isn't an airport (anymore) - it refers to the city Seoul but not actually what airport you're flying to. You could end up in Gimpo if you don't pay attention.

The same with TYO - it's the city Tokyo, but you are either flying into NRT or HND.

…for what it's worth, Jetstar fly to ICN and NRT respectively.

      If you're being nitpicky…
Well what about "Welly" in Title?

It's the cities, not the Airport codes, that people want to fly to in a Deal.

But was confused by SEL & TYO in Title, even though have flown to Seoul & Tokyo many times.

Using airport codes in title may not be understood. ICN (Incheon) may not be associated with Seoul for people who hadn't used that airport. Same as NRT (Narita) for Tokyo.

You could end up in Gimpo if you don't pay attention...

No - Jetstar doesn't fly there!
Actual airports are listed in the much longer Description. So not too hard to read which airport.

Title has restriction on number of characters. Abbreviations are used in long Titles. So described in… Description

    • not nitpicky at all. It's like flying MEL on some websites, could be actually Melbourne or Avalon

lucky it's not Ryan Air, they did/do They'd plonk You in the equivalent of Newcastle and call it Sydney.

Finally! A deal on flights to Japan in mid April!
Albeit only between Cairns to Osaka… But I'll take it!

    Thanks OP :)

    • Other cities a week later.
Departing Brisbane from 20 April to Osaka & 22 April to Tokyo for $30 - $40 more than Cairns.

I prefer to arrive for Sakura (Cherry Blossom) around late March - early April. Also nice viewing in S Korea.

      • I wanted a flight up to a week before the 18th, for Star Wars Celebration! 😅

  • After two long waits in that dreadful Cairns airport on my last trip I think I'd prefer to spend more to fly with literally any other airline to avoid that. Man I miss the direct Melbourne to Tokyo flights. Bloody Jetstar.

  • Are these prices included taxes or just fare price?

    • Australian airlines have to include taxes in fares by law.

Of course there are optional charges like baggage, seat choice, food, entertainment, insurance…
      Plus Club Jetstar membership!
I've never paid for those - as travel cheap as possible carry on for a month or longer overseas.
