PS: this model thermal throttle as per comments in previous deal posts and TechRadar Review (which has since been edited out):

I already own the RG67 from an OzBargain deal but annoyingly it throttles to 45W after 30 mins at full load (and doesn’t mention this in the spec).

Yeah I tend to write a bit much so trimmed it when doing an update. The testing info is still in my TechRadar article.

The RG68 (NCAU67D-257H) is well worth the slight extra cost IMO.

I find the same that it does not do 67W

      • Yes it does, confirmed charging a Gooloo GT4000

        • Not when it is hot

This is a feature not a bug. Battery degradation occurs over 35℃.

throttling is a safety measure to stop overheating, and the ability to dissipate heat is related to surface area and surrounding air temp. Gan are attractive to their small size and less heat due to better efficiency than silicon but size is a trade off to heat dissipation. I have one these Novoo charges and mine doesn’t throttle, but that was winter and i have no heating, sure that will change in summer as i also don’t have air con and on. 30c day i would expect throttling.

  • I am not gonna lie, the cheap aliexpress ones are pretty good nowadays.

I bought a 175W one for like $24 ish only. (plus got digital display of wattage used too, and 2x USB-C with 45W+ at same time)

    • link or it never happened

seems like price had gone up a bit since I last bought a month or so ago. right now $27 AUD ish + tax (FOR NEW USER DISCOUNT)

I got no issue with it so far liking it (can charge 2 laptops at same time which is the biggest advantage with this that 2 USBc with 65W+45W possible at same time unlike cheaper ones which would be like 65W + 30W)

I don't think the one you linked and the one in this deal are comparable. The killer feature for this deal's item is the form factor. This ones a phone charger size but powerful enough to charge a laptop whereas the one you mentioned is on the bigger size.

Plus yours needs 2 cables, whereas this one needs just one.

        • Thanks for sharing. I was looking for something like this. Does it have good build quality and does it stay cool?

  • FYI: I bought the 3 port model RG68 (written on the box but specified as NCAU67D-257H on Amazon) (2 usb-c and 1 usb-A) thinking it has more ports and newer but it doesn't support VOOC 65w which this 2 port version does. Bit strange?

Just ordered this version for the VOOC and will return the RG67.

    • Can confirm the RG67 2 port version works fine for USB-A 65w SuperVOOC charging on my Realme GT2 Pro.
