Thailand is meant to be good for quality dental, their bigger more expensive hospitals I mean, not a random village dentist where a cat will sleep on your stomach during the work. You should go see Moo Deng too while she's still a baby.

where a cat will sleep on your stomach during the work.

If my dentist in Australia offered this I would not say no..

had dental work done phuket 5 years back. could not fault the work relative to aus. dyor , heaps of reviews online which if read carefully should steer you towards the better places

    • It was much cheaper than Oz?

Well you probably would get extra work done over there that you never would consider in Australia due to the cost here. Depending how little you were prepared to get done in Australia, you may end up paying a bit more in Thailand because while you're there why not treat yourself to an implant for that missing tooth, why not get the expensive mainly cosmetic work done if you're teeth are fair (profanity) looking anyway.

        • which country would you recomend or thailand should be good enough?

          • @Flakuciernie63: Thailand should be good enough, more than good enough. I haven't researched in a while but I would also consider Hungary. I'm sure some less than stellar dental hospitals out there in the world have bought very slick looking websites and you won't be happy with them after, but just do your research. And maybe find a sympathetic dentist in Australia willing to advice on the course of treatment they recommend and do a bit of followup.

      • it was substantially cheaper, i hesitate to quote a % as was years back and things change. Concentrate on the quality, it was imo at least as good as in aus, with the most modern equipment, xray in house etc.

here's an old thread about overseas dental work

  • Not sure about Krabi, but you’ll find world class clinics in Bangkok and cheaper than here.

    • Fair enough
Do not want to go to Phuket again
      Bangkok, probably not my ☕

I thought Thailand was better known for other operations involving mouths

    I wouldn’t trust a Krabi Dentist.

    • It would come with an oily massage…

      • Sold….

Try joining the Australians in Thailand Fakebook Groups…. on the ground first hand advise that may be closer to the mark.

    Bangkok would be better.
I've had a bit of work done at Thonglor Dental Clinic, can't complain about the price or quality.
