“Solve PC problems remotely with Remote Assistance and Easy Connect” and RDP is free in Windows.

    • RDP is free in Windows.

I suspect this remote network rdp, with chat 2fa, etc.
like TeamViewer, Chrome Remote desktop, vnc, etc

there's plenty of freebies out there. logmein used to be my favourite for it's ability to get thru corporate firewalls.

    • RDP only works on the same local network, and it's limited to windows pro licences.

      • Two options for two scenarios.

“Remote Desktop - Allow access to your PC from outside your PC's network”.

        • Oh how do you do this? Do you need to enable this at the host PC?

Also what are the security risks? Is this like opening a port?

Realvnc is also free for remote access to three devices - I use it everyday and can highly recommend

  • Can this bad boy stream games from a Sunshine server via Nvidia encoding?

    • Look into a thing called 'Parsec'.

      • Yes I briefly tried it from an Android phone but found it uncontrollable due to the tap style control. I believe it can be changed to be more like a virtual mouse like most remote access utilities work on phones, but did not persevere as I've found Moonlight to actually be perfect now that I've tweaks its and Sunshine's settings.

If you're using PCs I think Parsec is pretty brilliant, the phone controls don't sound great though. Good for playing local co-op games on a PC remotely.

@conza: I didn't really do much testing with Parsec from a PC or laptop, but was quite far along in setting up Moonlight at various PC/laptop locations so stuck with it. It's been great.

  • Not sure what's wrong with a product like rustdesk, if you're doing things professionally this may be better though, it's free anyway.
