Unfortunately I bought Yoga pro 7i couple of months back around $1850 (32GB 155H), or this would have been mine :(

i am having lenovo 2 in 1. screen got damaged. weak hinges. though i used it very very carefully. now i am using it with external monitor. screen replacement quote was 500 to $650

    • So was it an Oled screen replacement cost? That's way too much. Generally I saw the reviews over many forums, the build quality was supposedly good.

        Build quality is excellent.
(Screens don't get damaged on their own)

So very very conflicted…. Lunar lake literally just went on sale and offers like a ~30% boost on efficiency over Metor Lake (this chip)… but jezz, that price is tempting!!

    • Yoga Slim is like $2800…
      Ultra 7 258V Processor

    • +3

Depends what your needs are. Luna Lake maybe more efficient, but it costs a lot more at the moment, and is up 23% slower in multi threaded applications than a 155h because it doesn't support hyper-threading.

      https://www.cpubenchmark.net/compare/5677vs6281/Intel-Ultra-…

      258v scores around 19000
      155h scores around 25000

The 155h is only about 3% slower in single threaded.

      • Battery life and gpu performance increase makes this a great trade off. Pricing needs to come down a lot, though.

        • That battery life and gaming performance is not a significant enough difference to justify the price 1k premium considering the significant deficit in multi-core performance.

It is also very dependent on which laptop you get, cooling capacity, and the battery size. Lunar Lake doesn't seem to scale well at higher TDPs and clocks if you compare the 258 vs the 288.

          • @shellshocked: I suppose one way to see how the price trends will go is by looking at laptops 2 generations behind of the same series an see the price difference. That would be a general guide for the sweet spot.

    Gaming? Not hardcore obviously.

  • Also, you can get a 10% off code that could be applied over this, by newsletter subscription? Not 100% if it stacks though…

Seems lots of hinge issue for their 2in1 laptops, just HODL for all meteor lake devices price drop once they rolled out all the new lunar lake ones

I had a Yoga 7i Pro bought from JB HI-FI. It has a super fast 13th gen i7. Screen is 14.5” 2.5K. Not 2-1 although I wonder if 2 in 1 is any good? I use external monitor so didn’t bother 2 in 1.

Very pretty teal colour. After 1 year of using I’m still extremely happy with my purchase!

Is this now expired? Looks like the price is now $2099.

  • $1,585.85 (see below) vs $1,799?

Bought the non-Oled (details below, including selected upgrades in brackets) for a school laptop because of the 71Wh battery, because apart from the $500 or so difference in price, I didn't want to lose the extra hours gained with this battery from an (unnecessary?) OLED screen.

After ditching the BS fragile screen Apple MacBook (totally unsuitable for a school laptop), I bought two ASUS 2 in 1 laptops (Vivobook S 14 Flip Gen 2 14" Ryzen 7 5800H 16/512GB) a year ago. My girls love the touchcreens (half the price of brittle Apple rubbish at $1,299 thanks to a tip on Ozbargain), but for one daughter (with the smaller battery than this Lenovo) it occassionally stuggled to last all day at school. I will inherit that one and also have it as a reserve for them if a need arises.

    Yoga 7i 2-in-1 14", Gen 9, Intel® Core™ Ultra 5 125U Processor (1 TB + Fingerprint Reader): $1,339.85

3Y Premium Care with Onsite: $219.00

    3Y Sealed Battery Add on: $ 26.00

Lenovo Yoga 14.5-inch Sleeve: $1.00 (Lenovo sales agent bonus)

TOTAL: $1,585.85 (these discount prices still available on Lenovo au website)
