They are real since if you buy from Amazon itself off amazon you will never get fakes.
I don't think Amazon sell fake items.
I bought these a few weeks ago from jb @30% off, still cost me $85 then.
any comment on the sound quality Expon? I need a new pair of running earphones & can't decide on Klipsch or Sennheiser cx680i's
I currently use the Sennheiser MM 70I, these are my backups and boy do these sound good, these are quite bigger in your ear and no in-line mic, the bass sounds exceptional, vocals & Instruments sound crisp and clear, sounds perfect straight out the box !
I was in the same position as you, I was looking for a replacement for my cx500's but they are no longer made. There were some for sale on ebay but there are lots of fakes around so I looked for something else. I was deciding between the s4's and the cx680i's. I chose the klipsch as a friend of mine had some and highly recommended them.
They are good and the oval shaped ear piece fits well for me but it did take a little getting used to. The sound quality is excellent not a basey as the cx500's but lots of body to the music. I mainly use my mine for running and watching vids on my phone when travelling. They don't fall out of my ear unless I pull on the cable, happens sometimes as I run like an octopus but overall its no worse than my cx500's. I find the case they come in total crap and always comes open as the headphones wont fit well unless you can somehow pack it the way it came from the company, so remove the foam insert and your headphones will fit better. There was some speculation on forums that the build quality was substandard. SO far everything is good however they do come with a 2 year warranty so they can't be that bad if the company would foot the bill that long.
Overall I do recommend them as the sound and design is nice, $120 RRP?? no thanks. $85 was bearable but $45 is great value. I've ordered a backup set in case mine do fail I have some to use whilst mine are getting repaired, oops I mean for my wife for xmas.
very good quality. ive had them for about a year and still perfect, i use them everyday gym train work and phone calls.

this is the best price in the World !
I am not very good with knowledge on earphones. Just looking for a decent pair to go with my android phone. Will these work on android phones? I had read in the other thread about S4 or S4i not being compatible. Wanting to confirm before I make the plunge.
for android phone u should get an S4A
I use s4's on my android device fine. the s4i is for iphone with iphone controls. There is a specific android version with in line controls (change songs/volume) for android phones. If you don't care about that stuff these are the same earpiece and sound reproduction.
These will work like any other headphone.
Klipsch Image S4A to go with Android phones
The reason I bought this is to use it with any device, there is no mic, so these are just really awesome headphones.
Elijah, You seem really excited about these earphones going by your posts on this thread and the last one. Your excitement is really raising my expectations.
Thanks guys for clearing it up.
Well for the price difference, I guess I can compromise with not having the controls. After all I am an OzBargainer :)
Brainwavz junk trying to compete with this…, the nerve !
Just bought one! Thanks… Was looking at the $58 deal the other day but didn't go for it. Lucky!
Any models with mic send my laptop and Skype haywire. And I see no point in buying crap. So this is perfect for my needs. Thanks for the deal.
About time the S4's came down to a price that is about what they are worth. I've owned these in the past, purchased for about 90 bucks, and the build quality was disappointing to say the least, particularly in the cable/plug joint, and the cable/driver joint. At this price, I'm not sure I'd say "don't buy them", but I'd certainly say explore other options first. In particular, the Brainwavz range (the m3's have a fantastic soundstage and great bass, one of my favourite Dynamic Driver headphones, and great for running), but also MeElectronics have had some good prices recently, as have the higher end Logitech UE series (600s and 700s).
Take user: Elijah's views perhaps with a grain of salt.
I quite like the build quality of Klipsch in general, especially the cable. I like the non-muddy and detailed bass. Just one warning about the ear tips though, the silicon tips are sort of elliptic shaped, they seal well, but I don't find them comfortable, the hurt my ears after half an hour. Nothing a pair of comply foam tips can't fix though, which can be ordered here:
No direct link to the s4 ones, you'll have to click on ear tip finder. S4 ones start from $10, but I recommend the isolation plus as they are better at not keeping any earwax on (eeeeeeeewww).
I had the same problem with comfort as well. But I did things differently, as I could not justify the cost of Comply tips.
I searched on head-fi.org and found that Shure foam sleeves (aka Shure olives) fit on Klipsch S4. I went out and did an ebay search and purchased myself some from audioequipstore and I can confirm they fit.
If you cannot justify the costs of any sort of sleeves, head-fi.org also has instructions on how to make your own foam tips.
Good tip! (No pun intended haha)
Are these real though?
