Great game for the price. I was surprised by this one

They seem to be a gradually improving company, their Rambo game was awful, their Terminator game was better than the reviews gave it credit for and good for a Terminator game, Robocop is properly good.

Here's hoping they make a Demolition Man movie next and it's amazing.

@freefall101, you are fined five credits for repeated violations of the verbal morality statute.

        • +3

I don't see any violations in what freefall said. Leave them alone and help me work out how to use these damned sea shells. There's only two left, the first one got propper stuck..

    Can you fly, Bobby?

    • +3

Hey, Clarence. Joey's got a car just like yours, man.

  • +14

I'd buy that for a dollar

  • +1

Hmmm any chance this will be on game pass soon?

    • Crystal ball says probably

    • you can get it on high seas, then buy on steam - worth it

  • Anyone know if this goes ok on steam deck? Protondb doesn’t seem to have any recent updates , hope it’s Been fixed

    • +2

Says it's playable on Steam. You can also filter your reviews on Steam for Steamdeck. Under Playtime.

Closer to what it's worth. Nice experience though

  • Great game (purchased the Alex Murphy edition on pc a few months ago)… enjoyed it enough that I double dipped and got it on Xbox a few months later. And will get it on Playstation by Christmas to complete the holy trinity.

    • +3

Wow that's dedication and money lol

      • If I enjoy a game I'll buy it on multiple playforms just to play it again (I know I could just play it again/restart on the same system).

Have done this for donkeys years - GTA series, Batman Arkham series etc. In more recent ish years I've purchased Dark Souls (original disc release on the 360, digital release on the 360, physical ps3, PTDE on pc, remastered (physical and digital on xbox, digital ps4 + pc, physical Nintendo Switch etc).
        , Elden Ring

I've also purchased Fifa/Madden/NBA 2K on multiple platforms just to play with friends who had them on 1 system but not the other.

On a different scale I'll also buy the same game in different generations (eg: have collected and recollected the Sonic games from the original Mega Drive days to the collections that have been released on pc, xbox, playstation over the years).

But I don't go crazy and buy them all at sky high prices. Part of the fun is buying the extra copies at cheaper prices. For example I have 6* copies of Arkham Asylum (standard and goty editions on 360/ps3/pc) only one copy was "expensive". And even then that was a "cheap" buy at Harvey Norman - $59 when other stores were trying to sell it for $79.95-109.95. The remaining copies were purchased for $10 or less. In the end I didn't even spend the RRP amount that the collectors edition went for.

A more recent example - MK 11. I didn't buy it until a year and a bit after the release, paid under $25 for the game, then the digital upgrade that turned it into the Ultimate edition. Purchased the ultimate edition on pc for $11, the ps version was under $20 (in the last year). I know the Switch version isn't the best port, but I only just purchased that not long ago under $30.

However they got me really good with MK1……. I jumped at buying the deluxe edition before release……. haven't played the game since April lol.

        • I accidentally bought Dark Souls II thinking it was Demons Soul, then spent like 12 hours trying to get it refunded from Sony because I opened the game before I realised. They were having none of it. Gaming is too expensive :(

Don't get it on Playstation. The PS port is a buggy mess. I made the mistake of getting this on PS5 and not PC. Cutscenes are still broken and the frame rate is disastrous.

      • That sucks. I was planning on getting it on PS5 eventually, but I won't if it's still not patched properly. Thanks for the heads up.

      • +1

I just finished it on PS5 last week. Didn't have any major issues.

      • +1

Yeah, i played it on PS5 a couple of months ago (twice), and the Cutscene glitches were extremely frustrating. Great game though.

    • It's been under $50 on the Xbox Store a few times, and I haven’t bought it yet. Will hold 'til sub $40. So I'd buy it for forty dollars.

  • Remembering the TV dubs for the first movie: "Once even called him 'airhead'"

    Its Ok .
I got it for similar price on xbox .. but am struggling to make myself go back and keep playing .. its a bit pedestrian but the aesthetic is faithful to the franchise.

It's around $23 at a couple dodgy key sites.

Depends on your appetite for using those kinds of sites…

This is actually really good, they did a Terminator game as well. It's a boomer shooter with a great plot and a compelling upgrade system. It's not quite a AAA title which means there are a few interesting artistic choices unlike most PC games.

If you’re a fan of the movies you are going to like this. Which is hard to say this days about games based on movies

  • I had a great time with this, even at full price. Definitely worth a purchase.
