      Please note most of these plans are Data Only. Good if you have a VOIP backup. You can always use your Aussie SIM( if it supports roaming) at higher rate for emergency calls to hotels and etc.

          If you are going to the major cities both will be excellent choice.

          Japan eSIM uses KDDI/Softbank network

          Whilst IIJ Japan eSIM uses IIJ/Docomo network

          We have linked the coverage checker in the product page - but generally Japanese network are all excellent.

          The cheaper one is CMHK, which is HK based and uses Softbank. DoCoMo is the Telstra equivalent for Japan. Softbank is probably Vodafone. If you are in major cities then there wont be much difference

          Yes both will be fine.

          Japan Unlimited uses KDDI network - again in Japan major cities you will have 0 issues.

          Korea uses SKT network which is also excellent.

                @TravelKon: Just a callout that the terms that have to be agreed to don’t align:

                I understand that the eSIM must be activated and used within 60 days of purchase to avoid expiration, and that no refunds or reissues are possible. The eSIM will work for the selected number of days from the first use.

      Easy set up - for eSIM simply scan the QR code and turn data roaming and you are set to go :)

      For physical SIM just insert and turn data roaming upon arrival.

      Yes all of our China SIMs will provide access to blocked sites (except tiktok or chatgpt due to it being a HK IP).

      If you are going to the major cities we use China Mobile which has the best coverage.

        The Asian explorer physical SIMs are from Macao, so I guess they get a Macao IP?

        I have one of your physical China SIMs from a few months ago, currently using now. It's with China Unicom (not China Mobile). But great coverage for where I've been.

        Ditto. I have the physical SIM & it uses China Unicom with a HK IP.
        Google and other sites think you're in HK, but in the Google app you can change your search region.
        Ozbargain says you're overseas, so some things are blocked (eg. DM/PMs)

      If the provider is HK based it won't work - you will just have to check.

      We do have Asia 10 (Indonesia version) that is using CTM network which can work with TikTok and Chatgpt.

      Because these sims that block tiktok or chatGPT are actually routed via Hong Kong, where those services don't work.

      None of these deals are particularly good - you're better off getting comparing plans from esimdb.com or esims.io (assuming you're after an esim) - and you'll find much better value plans there than using this sale.

    May I ask the expire date is data expire date or the activation expire date?
    The Bali SIM card expire 15 January 2025, while my trip is between 13-21 January 2025.
