    OP on a 4K 32” roll tonight :-)

Hard to justify the currently extra $800 to $1000-ish for the MSI or Aorus varieties over this or the Dell. Even if those have no curve, or gloss screen, and do have KVM or DP alt mode (or DP 2.1)…. you’d gotta really want one/combo of those extra features I reckon…

    • That’s my struggle. My ideal combination is curve with KVM, which limits me to exactly a forthcoming MSI model. But Dell warranty I’d take over MSI any day and I’m scared the MSI price is never going to come as low as the Dell gets from time to time…

    Hmm

  • I have been debating on this monitor last week or so, testing out. This is the first time it went from $100 to $200 trade in!

  • How does this compare to the Alienware in this deal https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/867907

    • +4

Matte vs Glossy, Flat vs Curved, Smart vs Non Smart, the panel is exactly the same though

Any idea how is their warranty compared to Dell? I always bought Dell for their excellent warranty.

        • +1

3 year, including OLED Burn in mate

  • Damn the prices for these have dropped quickly.

Getting really hard to wait out. With the price difference I'm considering this and a KVM switch.

  • Do I need to create a Samsung account first to ask for the loyalty coupon? Managed to get the 200 trade in so far.

nope, just start a chat online. However, I had to show them I was a loyal samsung customer by giving them a barcode of any samsung product.

      • Thanks for that, looks like I prob won’t be able to get 10% off then, I don’t own a single Samsung product. Maybe I can convince them my iPhone uses Samsung panels.

        • You dont actually need an IMEI of any product or if you need I can give you one. The 10% off is quite viable through their chat

    • Yup most likely and download the Samsung Members App on your Samsung phone/tablet

  • Did a bit of research, things to note from an audio side, it does NOT have an aux out. Your only sound out option is to use the built in 10W speakers or via HDMI Arc (ie connect it to a sound bar or amp).

    • Can I use my PC audio out ?

      • Yes you can, just gotta change your audio out setting on your PC and connect your audio device directly to your.

    Thanks OP,

Finally bit the bullet, been looking at 4k OLED for the last 6 months as it'll suit my setup better. A nearly $1000 difference to the other panels (I don't want curved at 32inch) means it's 'almost' a no brainer unless you're after a specific feature. I saw the Samsung TV's at JB which use the same coating. One was in a darker area of the store and the other was in a lighter area. Whilst yes there is a difference in coatings. In a dark area it's fine and in a light area it looks better than the typical matte coatings which can add a bit a sparkle as they diffuse. My Samsung Viewfinity S9 is quite noticeable with this sparkle effect if you're not looking directly at it. Glossy is just too much of an issue in the room I have it in, the OLED screens just don't get bright enough to combat the ambient light during the day.

Selling my Alienware 34" OLED so will have a side-by-side comparison to go off for a few days when it arrives. Hopefully it compares well!

    • Yep I'm the same boat - have the Sammy G8 34" UW I picked up for sub $1k early this year. Would be keen for your comparison thoughts with the AW!

I'm pretty tempted by this though. Surely the MSI and GB panels will have to get a decent budge from their RRP of $2199 pretty damn soon, perhaps Black Friday - if avail stock has started to flow more freely (I think limited avail has choked the price high for a while). I may hold just a bit longer - plus my 4070 would struggle to drive 4K in many newer games for now!

  • I hope Samsung releases a glossy version of this monitor.

  • wait do they come and try to collect a monitor or not

  • I got a 10% code from chat still trying to decide between this and the Alienware.

With all my coupons and vouchers it comes to $1030

    • What extras do you have over the OP's?

    • How? I was about to order but I stopped now

      • I have extra vouchers from pre ordering S24 Ultra
