1More headphones seem to be a popular budget option on Ozb.
one negative review mentioning battery failure.
probably because sleep mode (stored sounds inside earbuds) battery life of 1More buds alone is only 8 hours which is barely just enough for a night of sleep. emptying those tiny batteries everyday can’t be good.
you might think you can set them to “stop” after you fall asleep in an hour, but no stopping sound can also wake you up.
in BT mode (using them just like regular TWS earbuds) battery life is a pretty normal sounding 6 hours + 24 hours from case.
personally I am waiting on a deal on the Soundcore A20 Sleep buds (A10 weren’t so good apparently) but their price just won’t come down and are currently $259.99.
the Soundcore have 14 hours battery in sleep mode which is much better and realistic so you have some battery left when you wake up the next day.
the point of these is they barely stick out and are softer inside your ear so you can sleep on your side with head on pillow with comfort.
they also double as Bluetooth TWS earphones so you can use them day to day with your phone for audio (*just discovered now Sleep buds do not have a mic for calls/voice assistant), so you could think of this as added extra value.
the eartips are designed to block slightly more noise than normal while playing sleeping sounds. these don’t have ANC afaik because how I understand it rubbing the microphones on the pillow will not work well with ANC.
the Soundcore A20 actually seems capable of an entire night of sleep with 14 hours of sleep sounds. you can wake up after 8 hours of sleep, put them in the case in the morning and quickly have enough charge for use during the day.
it’s probably a good idea to charge them in the case for an hour again when you get home in the afternoon.
Soundcore A20 claims 14 hours (+ 80 hours of case charge) in Sleep mode, and 10 hours + 55 hours case in Bluetooth mode.
No mic on these for day to day use with phone for calls guys. Just realised this.

The Soundcore A20 and the 1More Z30 are the best quality sleep buds available (Amazon has other cheap micro buds but they are crap). They are small and comfortable, but the trade off is no mic (and obviously, no ANC). The A20 has better battery and sound quality than the Z30, but given the size, neither is going to have excellent battery or sound quality. Neither have multipoint.
The next smallest buds that I've found with a mic are the 1More Comfobuds Mini. I used them as my sleep buds for almost two years. The sound quality is pretty good, and they do have a mic (not the best) and ANC. What I found was that sometimes the ANC mic would cause feedback in the middle of the night and there was no way to turn off the mic so that wouldn't happen. Also they have a flashing light on them which annoyed my partner. These do not have multipoint either.
I've come to terms with the fact that, for me at least, there's no one best "all around" buds for me because everything is a trade off. So I have my 1More Z30 for sleep, my Soundcore Q45 headphones for excellent sound quality, my Earfun Free Pro 3 for exercise, and now my Earfun Air Pro 4 (which replaced my Soundcore Liberty 4 NC) as my daily drivers with decent sound quality and a fantastic mic that I use for work and other calls. Everything except the 1More has multipoint. One advantage to this approach is that because I use different buds/headphones for different purposes, the batteries in each will last longer because I'm not charging them as frequently as I would be if I was using the same ones all the time.
The mic on the Liberty 4NC cuts out virtually all background noise during calls but in doing so, it processes and chops up the voice as well. Whereas the Earfun Air Pro 4 diminishes the background noise, so it's still there, but the voice is crystal clear. The ANC on the Liberty 4NC is incredible but the ANC on the Earfun Air Pro 4 is almost as good, especially with foam ear tips (like Comply).
not mentioned on reddit but as I mentioned in the post the main downside of the 1More is the 8 hour battery life in Sleep mode.
if you manage only 6 hours sleep every day then 1More seems like great value at 1/3rd the price of Soundcore A20.
hoping to see closer to $150~$160 for A20 during next Amazon sales.
OH and I hope these Sleep buds have alarm feature. otherwise even with a loud alarm you might not wake up the next day !!
