Very good specs for the price

    • +7

They can write amazing spec, we need a real reviews

      • +2

Just got one and very happy overall. review based of a couple of hours of usage and first impressions

Brilliant value for money. The sound is very Bass heavy i find out of the box but slight changes to the equalizer made a huge difference. Probably better sounding then any other earphone I've owned far (some of the others ive tried/owned are Samsung buds fe, Jabra elite 3, Google Pixel Buds, multiple Sound Peats etc)

NC is ok, against decent for this price though. I found it worked very well overall but one area it struggled big time was blocking wind (by Samsung buds fe do a slight better job at blocking wind).

Crazy battery life. Reviewers claim 20 hours in one go which is insane. No personal experience in this dept yet though.

The ear pieces are very comfortable and fit very well. However they are very big i find and overall not the best looking. Controls on the earpiece also take a bit of getting used too. the button is in a slightly odd place

Dont like the case at all. too big !

Microphone quality is awesome in quite setting, however outdoors or in a noisy area they dont cancel any of the noise out so others hear everything but your own sound is also lot the in that situation. Its not too bad but there are def much better options out there for this use case. My Jabra Elite 3 for example do a much better job at making my voice clear in noisy situations even though it has the same issue where it doesnt cancel any of that external noise.

Overall for the price if you like good sound and huge batter life these are a no brainer - as long as you dont have any issues with how they look and a very big case. NC is awesome for bus/train but not the best for blocking out wind.

        hope this helps

  • Thank you for buying it at a good price when I just needed it :)

  • Currently using the soundcore space a40's, would these be an upgrade or are they pretty comparable?

  • Copped with a $100 gift card I got from a G84 deal last year, cheers!✌️

  • I am an Android but I am planning to buy AirPods Pro2 for my friend who is using an iPhone. I notice this is so much cheaper.
I am wondering how this compares to Airpods Pro 2 for an Iphone user. Thank you

    • +5

Hi Android, I am an IOS.

    • +13

Ur friend whom is an apple iPhone user would have a good chance of not liking it (speaking from personal experience) because this is

      NOT an Apple product
      NOT white in colour and
      NOT over-priced

Buy the AirPods to avoid looking like a cheapskate, someone that cares for value of money spent. Waaaay safer option especially if it's a gift meant to impress.

I don't meant to offend you (or anyone) but that was my personal experience. Friend ended up selling my gift so they could buy the Apple product.

      • Thank you for the feedback. You are right. I think I'll stick with my initial plan, getting her the Airpods. Cheers

    • +6

Agree with sentiment but I don't think that warrants a neg to the deal tho. If this is currently the cheapest price, then it is a bargain.

        • +3

This approach will make it extremely difficult to judge what is a bargain as the worth of a product is always meant to depreciate however the market may still want that product, keeping the price high. How much that product depreciate also is subjective.

Ie. One could argue the sound quality of this product is superior (or battery, or ANC, or just the design) make it a bargain (or not). As in No 'last year's ' Apple products would make the moniker of a bargain as there is always something else even better, newer, faster, quieter, more ruggered, shinier, smaller, smell fresher. So last year's version, should never become a bargain?

          • -2

@hippo2s: I take your point fully, however in the case of this technology, I'd like to warn people that theres rarely a good reason to buy the version from 2 years ago, sound quality, ANC quality, bluetooth specs, bulkiness has all massively improved. 2 Year is multiple cycles behind for a product that was an early 'true wireless'. I would like others to warn me as well when a product is not really a bargain even if its discounted, I have done enough impulse buys, however I will refrain from negs in the future since the site is not supporting that.

            • @carlitos: How do they compare to new models at the $99 price point?

            • +3

@carlitos: Yeah that's fair, feel free to leave comments that explains your view. I do like to hear the other side like you suggest.

IMHO…as a user of a pair of Jabra TWS (65t active) from back in 2018, I use it weekly still (just got back from a run an hour ago) I have not had any reason to replace it. So having yearly cycle where the upgrades are miniscule, no real innovation as it is a matured product…I am of the opinion the tech hasn't really advanced THAT much, so a discount makes it a great bargain, and a 2 year old product…makes no real difference. Ie. If battery life and sound quality are important…it sounds like this is a good buy from a reputable audio specialist brand.

        • -4

Get off the site Michele Bullock. A deal is a deal, if you can find it cheaper elsewhere then a neg might be ok.

Let the people judge it. Who asked you anw?

          • @Grey 13: What? They are the people. Everybody gets a vote and they think the product is crap and not a deal.

            • +1

@Aids: Literally in the voting guideline mate. Unless it's an issue with the price, the merchant or the product, neg vote is reserved for those purposes only. What you think of the product matters not and defo does not warrant a neg.

Don't have a problem with people's opinions about the products - but neg it because they don't think it's worth the price is not valid.

              • -1

@Grey 13: It's literally the whole point of the site lil buddy.

    • +7

Ok so you neg because they are old… but they are literally being discounted accordingly? so what's the issue? There's a price for everything and these are absolutely not even close to being obsolete as you suggest.

Product age aside - sound quality absolutely holds up (especially at this price point) to current standards. Your complaint of bulk is a direct trade off for battery life which not only holds up, but remains ahead most of the market today. What a ridiculous take.

    • +1

it’s bulky not because it’s dated, it has a bigger battery which beats any of its competitors. I would prefer this over smaller form factor, which also means it will last longer before becoming landfill

  • +5

I have these, at this price these are a great buy. Came from airpods pro and I was stupidly happy.

The battery aspect is extremely convenient, I use them on my office commute and I basically charge them once every 3-5 weeks. I dont worry about them at all. The battery indicator on the case is also handy.
Sound quality wise these punch way above their price. Connectivity also no complaints with multiple devices.

Downside is probably size of the case, mic quality, and each ear bud (left vs right) have different controls so if you only use one at the time you wont have controls assigned to the other.

    • +2

Agree with all these points. Have had these for a couple of years now and they have been really solid.

Only complaint would be the mic picks up a lot of ambient noise on calls, but I don't really have any other points of comparison so it might just be the norm for these kinds of headphones.

    • I'm not overly impressed by AirPods' sound quality (having owned AirPods 2, AirPods Pro and AirPods 3) but size and integration wise they are the best if you are in the apple eco system.
I'm tempted by the reviews of sound quality especially the bass but worried about the size of the earbuds…they look huge on the review videos.

      • +1

I have small ears and was surprised by how good the fit was. Its big but its so big that it just able to sit against your ear folds and kinda just stays there.

You wont notice the extra few grams of weight difference.

  • +10

I picked these up this afternoon and I'm already in love. They're a significant step up from both my Pixel Buds Pro and SoundPEATS Air4 Pro. The sound is fuller and the bass is massively better than either.

They also feel really comfortable and secure in the ears. and I'm looking forward to not having to charge them anywhere near as often, with 20 hours in the earbuds alone, on paper at least.

My ears aren't excessively large, but for some reason I needed to a swap out the ear pads for the largest size, but no big deal - that's what the different sizes are for.

    • +1

Agreed that they sound a lot better than the Pixel buds pro

    • +1

How's the ANC on this, reviews seem to suggest ANC is pretty average

      • would like some thoughts on the ANC as well, I have pixel buds pro as well

  • +2

What are the touch controls like?
I've been considering buying something else that is not Galaxy Buds 2 Pro because the controls on these are shit and do my head in.
They also slip out, so the second you try and adjust them it either pauses/skips the song or ends the call.

    • +1

Controls are weird. Each side is different: Left ear = volume +/- , right ear = the usual play/pause/ skip track.

I dont think you cant change any of this.

      • +3

The buttons are customizable in the app (under 'system').

        • Can you confirm the left ear can also be changed to pause/skip. I often use a single ear and swap left and right and need controls.
Only reason I never bought these.

          Thanks!

          • +2

@Danthemanz: Not OP but just received these today myself- can confirm buttons can be changed to whatever you want (pause/play & skip/back for both sides).

          • @Danthemanz: can confirm as that's exactly how I like to use them as well

    • True. That's what I hate with touch buttons especially when you are on a bicycle on the go

    • I'm in the same boat, I have the Galaxy buds 2 pro's which I've wanted to love but they keep slipping out of my ears. I've even changed the tips to SpinFit Omni's which only helped a little bit. Would anyone happen to have owned the Galaxy buds and these Audio Technicas that can report a fit improvement?

  • Are they click buttons or touch? Personally prefer a click buttons as on my old Sony WF-c500

    • +4

Just picked these up, they're clicky buttons! One button on each bud, fully customizable with the app.

Big pro for a dude who fidgets with their glasses and hat a bunch.

  • Samsung galaxy FE and Anker Liberty 4 NC are better?

    • Have the Galaxy FE and just bought these. I prefer these overall but FE also are very good.

My only issue with FE is the very poor microphone for calls and battery life.

FE has the advantage of better case and overall looks, very good sound quality (these are slightly better)

NC on both is very similar but I prefer these again apart from wind. these do not block out wind at all

  • How would these compare to Creative Outlier Pros that I absolutely love?

    • I bit the bullet and bought it since it was such a good price.. These are decent! Would recommend to others at this point. Do people find them bulky? Though I'll need to get used to these controls..

  • Usually it referred as "True Wireless"
    Is "Truly Wireless" something different?

    • Probably a play on marketing terminology for slightly longer battery life or poor translation between manufacturer's language to English.

stupid me paid same price the other day so desperate as I lost one of my buds so got the skullcandies rail without anc and it costs the same as this now now JB does not take returns even after 1 hour let alone a few days, so got these have to say the fit is a bit strange and one seem to protrude more than the other as no 2 ears are symmetrical it is subtlety different so these fittings negate the illusion of one and the same ear as one would protrude ever so slightly more than the other but sound wise -great, you cannot adjust volume on it, only the usual pause play google assist forward backwards but not volume - use your phone or watch funny thing is all the other colours are not on sale - probably since they are light colours the protrusion may not be as obvious given the market for JB is predominantly light skin.

  • Might as well cancel those Nothing Ear (a) Buds from amazon and get these.

  • +1

I just grabbed a pair, they stay on my ears reall well. I have tried samsung, apple, jbl and sony ones - they kept falling off.
Using the larger tips sealed really well, gives better bass extension. for the price, it is an excellent deal.

  • Had super old QCY T2S earbuds that died on me. Picked these up today, nice fit, much, much better audio compared to me old QCY, ANC too, love it.

  • Just grabbed a pair too! Additional $10 off JB HIFI Perks making it $89. BARGAINEDDDDDD

  • I picked these up today. Pretty happy with them, very secure as took them out for 12k run and they stayed put nicely.
Sounded ok, not as clean as my Technics az60 but they probably need to break in a bit, also need to adjust the eq a little bit more I feel.
But great price for these and got to use my $10 birthday voucher before it expired… Thanks op 👍

  • Compared to the jabra elite?

    • I replaced the Jabra 85t with these. These fit better as I could never run outside with the Jabra, but they were ok for the gym.

The Jabra had a great sound to them, but for the price these are a no brainer, also they have better battery life and I find all in ears improve over time.

      • Interesting, I don’t have the fitting issue with the Jabra I have so I might hold off until the morning. Decide on fresh brain

        • Depends on how you use them. If you are mostly stationary, love bass, use for looong sessions… then this is a good replacement.

IMO if you care for sound quality, do some sports (that extra bulk sticking out in this model would be annoying on runs, but i have small ears so the bulk is really prominent, YMMV) and charging has never been an issue then i would save the money and stick to Jabra.

  • Says no pickup or delivery options for adelaide

    • There's no stock. Getting a dead page this morning.

Hate how JB completely removes the product page

  • Annoyed I missed these, I need the battery for overnight use.
If anyone doesn't want theirs, let me know!

    • The sale seems to be still be going though?

  • +1

Blue and White are now also on sale, which was not the case when the deal was originally posted. There is still stock of the coloured versions in some stores,

    • Didnt know there were different colours, would of gotten the white/beige instead!

      • the other colours weren't on sale before but now they are 😔

  • How does this compare to the KZ ZS10 Pro? I'm very tempted to buy this to replace my Galaxy Buds Plus. It's either this or buying the Apple DAC and plugging it in to my Pixel 8. Thanks in advance!

  • White/beige still available just ordered one for delivery as none in store close to me.

  • 'stunning bass' I interpret to mean a shortcut to deafness.

noise cancelling via the app ? - as I didn't see it promoted upfront I'll guess NC is not a major benefit with this - I bought Apple Air Pods Pro after reading about the excellent NC - naw - that was a lie - I carefully noted … NO difference in noise - and put that WOFTAM in my junk room for 3 years before giving them to a friend's family

I'm a Bose QC45 and QC SC guy - I don't muck around with pretend NC when I want to hear sound without ramping up the volume to deaf-soon volume to hear it over traffic noise.

    • The bass is actual bass, it's not a synonym for loudness. It genuinely feels like there is more range at lower frequencies and the sound feels fuller.

NC is not a good reason to buy, no. It's a bit crap.

      • Try spinfit eartips. The ANC goes from 20 to 100.

        • @usbc activist - which Spinfits are you referring to? The W1 or some other model? Thanks

          • @nismo: CP1025

            • @usbc activist: I have the cp360 and am testing them, anc is a bit better, but was hoping for more.

It's going to be a lot about the fit for each person and not necessarily the brand of tips.

The stock ones on these aren't big enough for me

              • @nismo: Yes. You are correct. Unfortunately for me, the ones that came with the earphones were irritating and could not wear the earphones for more than few minutes.. The spinfits solved that problem and they were flush inside my ears, massively improving the noise canceling as well as the bass.
