  • Does anyone know would this mean for Sony TV's that currently have 15% off they'll take a further 15% off with the coupon?

  • Virtual pinball guys will be interested, great screen for a virtual cabinet.

  • I've got the c2
It looks great but I get the pop-up message that I should do pixel cleaning every few hours it does my head in. Can't find a way to disable it

    • Does the pop up still occur if you do actually do a pixel clean and then not come back again for a few days/weeks?

    • Are you actually letting the Pixel Refresher routine run? The minor pixel clean routine automatically runs after approx 4 hours of accumulated use, after you turn off the TV (i.e. put it to sleep). DO NOT turn off the power at the powerpoint, that will prevent the TV from being able to run the maintenance routines which are crucial for OLED longevity.

  • Anyone know any stores in Sydney that have this on display?

  • I'm so kicking myself for the 2/7/24 deals so much cheaper! 83 C4 Oled for $4,700 with a soundbar!

They WILL price match to Appliance Central and then allow you to use the 15% coupon in the store. Bringing price to $1164.

just got mine from JB Glenn vic. They have 1 unit left.

    • how do you use perks code in store ?

      • They have it as promotion in the store. Scan the barcode, enter your details and you get it in your email.

        • I already have the perks code, I am asking how you got them to use both price match and the perks code in store.

          • @Ryxxi: Speak to sales person to get your invoice for $1370. And then at check out give them your perk barcode.

            • @o2saint: Hornsby jbhifi wouldnt do it. Sales person came back & said manager wouldn't combine the perks and price match together one or other. I would of purchased it then & there. So if the manager is lurking here you are a joykill and lost the $

Why would you bother buying this LG 42” OLED C4 TV to use for solely for working from home? How much does your employer pay you for you to be prepared to waste this kind of money on them to do your work? I own an almost $10000 RRP OLED TV for my own personal use, and I certainly would never use it as a computer monitor to do my job when I work from home, or and OLED display in general, it’s not going to improve the quality of the work I do for my employer whatsoever, and if it did then my employer should pay for it if there’s even the slightest possibility of it improving productivity.

Tax write off? Also you spend 40 hours or more staring at a work monitor. I understand splurging to get something nice for your own benefit

        • @cyrax83 - My ex wife has worked for the ATO for almost 20 years, and her sister and her long time partner are both solicitors that work for the ATO. Buying a TV like this to use as a computer monitor for work when it’s not a requirement to do your work may slip through the cracks once or twice, however attempting to take advantage of the tax system to write items like this off as though it’s needed to do your job won’t go down well for you if try to claim quite a number of items often enough, it will raise a red flag.

If the company that you work for doesn’t have OLED displays in their offices and you work in the office some days during the week, then you wouldn’t have a strong case for needing a more expensive OLED display at home to do your job when you work from home.

          • @[Deactivated]: I would argue with the ATO if it really came to this. OLED's are great quality of life for your eyes no matter how you use them. May be ATO needs to make a deal with LG if they want cheaper OLED's. Why would a company give you good displays ? They would be out of business if they thought about their staff.

            • @Ryxxi: Based on your comments here you wouldn’t have a great case with the ATO, and you wouldn’t be good at arguing a valid case either. If you have issues with your eyes you would at least require an official medical statement from a doctor and optometrist as well as your employer stating that you need an OLED display for work purposes, to prove that it’s needed to do your work, if you were to be flagged for claiming it as a tax write off on your tax. If you suffer from eye strain then you should look into ISF certified bias lighting:

I use 2 high end OLED TVs daily in my home (this 42” C4 OLED is certainly vastly inferior to the high end 77” Sony A95L QD-OLED that I use in my living room)) as well as LCD computer monitors for work, both technologies provide great and clear quality images for your eyes. The majority of companies use LCD monitors in their offices, and they work fine for the majority of people for doing their work on.

Why would a company give you good displays? The company I work for does. It sounds like you need to get a better job if the company you work for doesn’t value its employees and views you and its other employees as not being worth providing good displays for so that you can do your work.

Why would the ATO need to make a deal with LG for OLED displays/monitors? Especially since there is a high probability that their fate would be suffering the effects of burn in within a few years of daily employee use from using work applications and software, and the ATO would have to replace them at the tax payers expense much sooner than they would had they purchased LCD monitors. The ATO recent moved its employees to a new office building in Parramatta in Sydney, and they provided their employees with Dell 40” ultrawide LCD monitors for many desks.

      • Thanks for your response. I'm trying to do a new setup for my new house and my intention is to connect my personal laptop to the tv as well as the work laptop where i work 3 days a week from home.

Bro get this if you want to, its has heaps of advantages over normal IPS and VA screens. Its great for everything.

          • @Ryxxi: Thanks mate. It's too late now as all stores closed. If I call the price match line then the discount won't apply as mentioned here before.

      • How do you own a 10k OLD but dont have brains ? Thanks for letting us know about your 10k OLED btw. You are saying a 42inch oled wont effect productivity ? may be someone needs their eyes checked.

        • @Ryxxi - Was this comment directed at me? You didn’t quote me so it’s unclear whether it is or isn’t. What is clear though is that one of us certainly doesn’t have a brain and has no idea what they’re on about, and doesn’t have a great understanding of how the tax system works, and a great deal of knowledgeable and expertise about OLED and LCD/LED displays and home theatre equipment in general, which was evident before you addressed the other member above as bro.

Of course a larger size screen can improve productivity, I didn’t say otherwise, what I said is, that for my office job and the majority of offices/office jobs an OLED monitor isn’t required and using LCD/LED monitors are perfectly fine for doing your work, and produce the same level of productivity from the majority of people, and often cost less than an OLED.

I certainly wouldn’t purchase a 42” display for anything other than using it for work, I wouldn’t watch movies and TV shows on such a small screen (I would watch them on my larger 77” or 65” OLED TVs), the last time I bought a TV this size it was in 2008.

  • I went instore and was also successful for the $1370 pricematch -15% = $1164.50

    • Nice!!!

    • Nice. Just did the same!

Had to work for it though.
1st store said no and sign up to perks.
2nd store, rep 1 said they don't price match "online warehouses". Rep 2 checked the site and said done.

      • Mine was pretty easy. But the guy that did the pricematch was a different guy that did the final payment at the checkout. I think that's the trick
