Great game if you want more challenge and only played Persona so far
Persona series is actually a spin-off of the Shin Megami Tensei series (like Persona 3 was also known as "Shin Megami Tensei: Persona 3")

  Quality of life stuff for grinding purposes (mitamas), and two additional demons (one of them is Dagdar if you happen to be a SMT4 Apocalypse fan). Overall, skippable and not really necessary for completion, but mitama DLC good to have if you want easier prep for the superbosses.
