Interesting that you can't buy ebooks in the Amazon app on Android. Anyone know when that happened? I'm pretty sure you could previously.

It was a while already when this happened. Apparently Google want the purchase done through Google Play billing system when purchasing digital content.

It is an amazing system, all payments need to be directly through Google helps you keep track of what in the world you are purchasing or which subscriptions are active. Thank you google!!!

        • Yeah it is handy. Shame it isn’t a free service.

Does anyone know if there's any good (hopefully free) piano courses online (i.e. video based)?

    • What's your approximate baseline level of playing, and what genres are you keen on?

      • Ahh just been playing things from YouTube, mostly just renditions of pop music, nothing classical.

Haven't done anything on scales etc or learning in a proper structured way

For a more structured approach, the go-to recommendation is Faber's Adult Piano Adventures All-in-One, both book 1 and 2, along with their accompanying short videos. Depending on the level of pieces you're currently playing, this might start off a bit too easy (though it never hurts to have your fundamentals down pat IMO).

I'm much less familiar with online courses but if you're solely after video content, here's a list of recommended youtubers. From that list, I find Graham Fitch and Denis Zhdanov to be especially helpful. I'll also add Piano Roadmap as a good source of videos geared more towards the beginner-intermediate level.

@flugel: Thanks heaps mate, will have a look at those links, cheers! :)

  • Anyone knows how to print this book so it is easier to use while playing the piano? The web interface doesn't have a print option.
