First time pool owner here. How do these models compare with something like Aiper S1 Pro?

    • The Aiper is a battery one. The dolphin are powered by cable so would be hard to compare.

Had a dolphin db2 which is apparently better than these ones. Stopped working a couple of months outside the warranty period (2 yrs from memory). Expensive unit over $2k which you would have thought should last longer than 2 years. Maytronics wouldnt do a thing.

Switched to aiper scuba pro. Light years better in cleaning. Just the slight inconvenience of having to charge but also no cables to deal with. On sale would be half the price of my original dolphin.

    • Matronics are the top of the range so $500 off is an exceptional discount.
If you miss this deal, suggest getting a zodiac FX18 - I have it and it’s pretty good (going strong after 2 years) If I was due for a new one I would jump at this maytronics deal.
Main thing with robot pool cleaners. Right robot for the size of pool - just check the pool size it’s rated for.

do these work in the shower?

  • What pools are these good for?
I tried various configurations available on your Which model is right for you page and these models do not seem to be suitable for any pool size/type/shape

  • What microns are the filters rated at?

First time pool owner, did loads of research before buying, ended up buying the Zodiac Dx4050-iq from PoolWerx for $2000. They sell this on promotion, other pool stores couldn't price match. Btw Zodiac and AstralPool are the same company.
