The Best All You Can Eat Buffet ONLY $6 at Bexley RSL ( 12PM-2PM Everyday )

90

I've spotted this from a local coupon catalog and I think it is really cheap.

However I haven't been there and tried the food and bla bla bla then I can't give any more comments on that.

Should any OZbargainers who had it please leave your comments and your thoughts on this?

Might want to remove the word "The Best" in the title.
You said you haven't been there, and the ad doesn't even allege that they are "The Best" of anything!

Also it's limited to 1 per person per day.

Yes, I have actually been there to try their buffet (couple of years back mind you) but have no hesitation in saying that if you have any semblance of self respect for your palate - DON'T GO. It is however worth every cent of your $6.00. Definitely for UNI Students or those on a REALLY limited income. Comes a very close second to 2 minute noodles. If the food doesn't kill you, the atmosphere will. From my username, you can probably deduce that I place quantity over quality mostly, but every man has his limits. You have been warned.

"under new ownership" and "fantastic new menu"….
… i think you should go back and update your review :)

    • care to go in detail? what exactly do you like and not like about this place?

    • It is now under new management though, I'll give it a go and check it out.

  • 'battler', There is no way I'm going back just to update my review. I did say that it was a couple of years back and yes, just noticed that it was under new ownership and they have a new menu so who knows. The terms '$6.00 all you can eat' and 'fantastic new menu' just sound like an oxymoron to me.

  • It's very close to my place with long Queen Victoria Rd- 30 degree uphill- separats us. By the time I cycle and survive, I'll be ready to stuff myself up :P.

For those who don't know - Bexley close to Kogarah, Rockdale and Hurstville. It's one of the M5 exit if you drives from west after the King Georges Rd one.

  • The chef and management recently changed several months ago.

From what I have seen it's quite good for the price however whats in the buffet changes weekly. The salad part of the buffet was quite nice.

whats in the buffet changes weekly.

"The buffet menu changes weekly" - i hope you meant

      • +5

No, he meant what he said. They change the food in the buffet once per week, whether they need to or not! :-P

        • oh…nah, I hope not.

      • It used to be a Tuesday thing if I remember. It was $8. So technically the buffet would change weekly.

Now it appears it's popular enough to do every day. The place is gaining momentum.

  • need the coupon
    limited for veggies
    or asian food apparently.

    • They won't accept printer coupon?

  • the $15 T bone and beer deal on wednesdays at bardwell park rsl used to be good.

They changed management, first steak well done (not rare) 2nd came raw in the middle, like it was cooked from frozen. got a refund and we never went back.

new management isnt always for the better :(

  • ate the buffet
not on my best buffet list
    eat at many buffets
    not worth the effort
    location was a 70s throwback
    so was the crowd

    • How is it compared to the one at Bankstown?

      • bexley fail
        bankstown pass

I have been here a number of times and it is indeed under new management - the quality of the food from the new management seems to be better, but I have not tried to the buffet yet.
