Do i need to worry about this thing burns in garage? Serious asking

    • +6

Yes, if it burns in your garage. You have a valid concern. Serious respons.

    • Segway make good quality scooters. It’s not likely to go up like you see with no name Chinese brand. But you’d still need to be mindful like you would with charging power tools etc

      • +4

        You're right, it's not a no-name Chinese brand, it's a name Chinese brand.

    • It's Segway mate… not some cheap chinese knockoff. The charger and protections inbuilt are much higher quality than anything 'no name brand' you'll buy for cheap.

  • Thanks mate. I have this model already, but mine is all messed up and with this price it is worth an upgrade.

F40 is good because it is lightweight and has good speed and distance. They probably will change the models, so that's why i suspect the discount. Who cares, about the next model. It will be similar to the difference between the iPhone 15 and 16.

The only complaint I have is the tires. You will be getting flat tires.

    • I seen after market tires on ebay which is only rubber, but might impact cushion

  • I just came back from a ride on this, like literally a few seconds ago. Don't expect the ride quality of like a max but still good for price.

  • +3

    I only see $663

    • me too… I'm ACT Metro, so postage handling normally same as Sydney or Melbourne.

    • Do you have eBay plus? Maybe it's plus only.

  • $663 for me too

  • +1

Looks like the issue is fixed and it shows the correct price.

  • Is there an alt brand of scooters that punches above its weight? Ive had good success in the alix market with earbuds on the cheap.

    • Maybe Xiaomi when on sale. I got a similar Xiaomi Scooter 1S for $399 few years ago on ebay with a 20% off deal.

How come this "official" Segway eBay store, which first joined eBay in 2019, has only sold 14 units? Serious question.

Your right! And only 77.8% feedback out of those 13.

Sounds a bit fishy to me.

    • Mmm, curious about that and warranties…

      • This is a shop front for Mobileciti (who are an authorised reseller)

  • This or Xiaomi 4 with password lock for $599?

Heya OP @Clear , What exactly makes this the "Segway-Ninebot Official Store AU" eBay store? Curious about your warranty returns through to you or the official source www.segway.com.au?
Please advise and I will purchase. Cheers Darce

    • You're welcome to send your scooter to me if you like. I'm not Segway but I'll accept the freebie.

The eBay store is run by Segway. Warranty is through them.

      • +1

Segway Service Support claim no affiliation or awareness of this eBay store. Do you have any verification of the source that this is being run by Segway?
The service contact team seem to have complete separation form Sales / Info team… Info appreciated. Cheers

        • +1

Segway Australia isn't run by Segway themselves and there are a few competing distributors. The only way to know for certain is finding out what the ABN is from the store.

    • This is a shop front for Mobileciti (who are an authorised reseller)

  • I’m in Sydney and not interested in being fined for driving an unregistered vehicle without a licence

    • Sucks for you being in a backwards state.

      • Truth.

    • Makes it very confusing as a resident, more for a tourist, in a country over governed, each state/territory doing their own thing. USA is the same.
Road rules & vehicle modifications/restrictions, same with building, fishing licences, lots more.
In Vic an electric motor of max 5hp (i.e. on a Kayak) can be used without registration or licence. In WA everything must be a $ grab

  • Tip for those living in States requiring these things be in a bag when on public transport (i.e. WA).
Rather than carrying a bulky Segway one, can throw one of these $6 Body Pillow Cases in a backpack.
In a pinch could use plastic rubbish bags, but will tear easy.

  • Sucks top speed is 30kmh. Would of been good to buy with the QLD rebate but max 25kmh allowed

    • The F40A is restricted to 25km/h. The F40 and F40E are 30km/h.

      • The eBay listing shows 30km/h in the description and I can't see any sign of the a. Am I just blind?

        • Segway reuse the same marketing images worldwide. A variant is definitely speed locked to allow it to be sold legally.

    • +1

According to this page F40 is also legally restricted to 25kmh https://segwayonline.com.au/products/segway-ninebot-kickscoo…

  • It is not foldable, right?

  • Has anyone received any updates on shipping?

  • This or Xiaomi 4 with password lock for $599?

    I just bought from them.

They appear to be another store front for MobileCiti. The email for the purchase came from MobileCiti.

It also matches that the ebay store front says Lidcombe and MobileCiti is also in Lidcombe.

    • I just purchased, no email for the purchase, just the standard ebay emails….

When did they send the email?

      • I got the email a day after, when they shipped the item.

But then, they kept refusing me to send me the invoice. I had to call them on the phone after 5 days to get them to send me an invoice so that I could make file a claim for the QLD Gov refund scheme.

        • +1

yup, got a call from them, number was the same number as Mobileciti.

Although I cancelled my order as they were adamant it was the f40, not f40A and couldn't tell me if it was limited to 25km/h
