Junior looks tasty!
How does this compare to something like Grandad Jacks?
Anybody know if they distil their own alcohol or buy from commercial supplier and add their gin flavourings?

I doubt anyone does, all would bulk buy spirit from https://www.manildra.com.au/product/ethanol add water to make it easier/safer to store and then just distill it again with their own botanicals. Far too little margin with how high the excise rate is and how much more expensive it is to full grain ferment etc.
At the end of the day very few people are willing to pay for it either, $40 for some fun pink in a bottle is an easier sell than $60 for locally grown winter barley, floor malted in our family malt house before being all grain brewed and later distilled for your drinking pleasure, it is just gin after all, cheap neutral grain spirit with a few strong juniper berries to hide the taste of last nights bath.
So this is $56 for a normal-sized bottle of gin.
500mL is a joke…its $40 with free delivery
Can't find any tasting reviews OP. Can you link some?
I actually cant find much but here it is listed in the Gin Awards Results https://australianginawards.com.au/2024-australian-gin-award…
@bobacom: Thanks I saw that. Unfortunately the judges' words are next to useless - they should do FAR better for Trophy winners at least.
Just wondering where it sits in the taste spectrum, what it's similar to, and what mixers etc it pairs well with - all things good gin reviewers often mention.
500mL is small. 700mL is normal
Still a decent price incuding delivery from WA, esp for a Trophy winner, if you value such awards.
Haven't tried it and it's no mean feat to win best in class but as a general observation gin awards are going the same way as Wine Shows. Roll up, roll up, everyone's a winner - sooner or later.
Wrt Wine Shows - if you aren't prepared to stump up for Grange, 389 etc it seems from the points they're awarding some judges are suggesting this WA cab sav isn' far off for ~$75. Different wines but somehow I doubt it. There's a log jam of good to very good to excellent to superb wines all within 3 or 4 points but ranging wildly in price. Time to draw a line and rearrange the deck chairs judges.
What's considered normal size?
700 mL. Plenty of 500mL bottles around though
I drink Gordons gin at around $60/1000ml
Tastes vary hugely but it's cheap for a reason, and not just the alcohol content (37% V say The Botanist at 46%).
Dyaf and try some of the many very good gins around when they're on special. You may be very pleasantly surprised. you might have to wait a while though because big discounts by Colesworth liquor outlets don't seem to be as prevalent these days.
When can we expect delivery?
I've had an order received/processing email on the 16th but nothing since e.g. no its been shipped, or tracking notificationsHey, I believe they get stuff sent thurs/fri. They are closed Monday and Tuesday. Give them a call or email, someone will assist.
I've now received a tracking notification from AusPost, so its "In transit"
I've just received a "Your order is complete" email, whatever that means. No info on delivery. Ordered on 16/9. I hope the gin's better than their service.
Use code 20YOUVIP for an extra $8 off (making it $32)
I got their Mandarin gin in the last bargain, it was really nice. No hesitation getting the pink gin for $32 that's for sure.Offer extended until the end of Oct to celebrate the win! https://www.perthnow.com.au/news/wa/mandurahs-little-stiller…
