Interesting that they've removed the small drink + increased the chips size from the Plant-Based Whopper deal and reduced the price by 50c

    • Not really. They've removed $3.45 of value but kept the cost the same from 6 months ago - shrinkflation. Which is a crazy increase. So to compensate for that loss of value, they gave a $0.70 upgrade to the next size product. Comparing to the previous price, that was already a $0.50 increase from 3 months ago.

Just attempt to hide the price increase/value loss.

Bring back the deal on vegan burgers!!

  • +10

The $9.95 two whopper jrs and chips is especially rubbish given the Jacks App deals themselves currently include the same deal for $8 (and it regularly comes and goes)

    • +1

It's now $5 for burger chips and drink so still better value

  • Cant open the coupon image file 🤔

    • +1

Opens for me. I tested just now

      • Got it to work, cheers

        • Do you need to show the image and order in store?

          • +2

            @FatTofu: Phone is fine.

            • +1

@LowRange: Apparently no longer at some stores in WA.
              Looking at you Mt. Lawley.
To be fair though, the dude allowed it and put the voucher sheet in the bag and said, "next time show us the voucher sheet"

    No more 2 x Whoppers for $11.95 ?

The large onion rings used to be $2.95 (I remember buying them in August 2022)
Within a few months, it jumped to $4.95, and it's the same onion rings.

    PS:
+1 to OP for the write-up

    • Yeah it sucks they removed the whoppers and the bacon deluxes. I have a feeling they haven't been there for a while

      • +1

        I bought the 2 x Whoppers for $11.95 around a month ago.

        • +1

I got it just last week, it was the best coupon deal by far and made it a reasonable priced meal for two with a frozen drink added.

          • @iOffline: It may not be available after 17 September, if it's not in the coupons.

        • This has to be satire, right?

    • +1

Although I think the price is a rip off for onion rings, they have improved the quality of the onion rings since 22. Just like they improved the chips. So i can understand a price increase, but again. That price is rediculous.

Plus, I refuse to install an app for a effing discount. If you won't give us coupons or let us do it in a browser, or just have decent prices at the standard menu, its a business I don't frequent unless I'm forced to.

Is the same oil used for plant based food and other food? Does anyone know?

    • +1

Fries are cooked in seperate oil, nuggets etc are a different frier. The plant based whopper (which I believe is V2) is cooked on the same grill as the meat and is not washed between uses so could technically have meat juices on it.

      • Duty manager at a store talked me out of the plant based whopper as it isn’t even nice let alone cooked with meat juices and the ingredients show milk and egg too.

        • Ask for no mayo, then add vegan mayo. Price doesn’t change and no dairy / egg.

          • +1

@thriftshop: Thanks, wondered why those ingredients showed up lol. They should use vegan mayo if stating plant based, pretty dumb if they think eggs and dairy milk grow in soil.

    • If your asking about meat contamination with vegan/vego food, yes there is contamination of that kind.

These guys needs to follow the McDonald’s app approach with points etc.

    • +3

Just not McDonald's prices and "deals" please.

    • Jack Cowin would never give you that. He is far too greedy

      • Seems that way

  • Has anyone tried to redeem the $3 iced coffee? Is it just the iced coffee or can you change to the other varieties (mocha, caramel) like on the app?

  • +5

i remember when 2 whoopers were like 8 bucks.

I used to eat 4 of them before my uni lectures and would last me the whole day.

    • +1

I’m not surprised, that’s over 2600 calories in one meal.

  • +1

    Is phone still fine?

    • +2

      Yep!

  • +1

Oh, wow, omg! These really, really… Suck!

    RIP HJ! 🥲

    % Increase

Damn, didn’t know paying more counts as a deal now…

  • I remmeber it being like $2.75for small chicken royale or cheesburger small meal

  • Bbq cheeseburger now $2.95 up from 2.50.

This is the only take away where most of the time I'll need to microwave it after getting home.

    • The 'burger police' in Adelaide are also cracking down on 'one arm bandit hamburglars' driving one handed, same as a phone.

  • Thanks for posting OP and the link to the PDF. Much appreciated. :-)

  • I just confirmed at a local Hungry Jacks, that the "2 x Whoppers = $11.95" deal is not available anymore.

The manager said that it's not within their own billing system anymore.

    • +1

      Big beef pulled it.

  • My local store Livingston now wants physical coupons handed over. Are others experiencing same?

  • Shake and win gone. That was the main reason I went to HJ

    • +1

It's still in my app…the logo is hidden but if you tap it it still comes up (and the deals are mostly as shit as ever)

      • Wow you're right!

      • only downside is that you cant order in the app anymore - you have to show at the counter

  • Last day. Hope they don't JACK prices
