Although you really should add 1/2 tsp of eucalyptus or tea tree oil add a disinfectant since bacteria love wet stuff.
then i believe the magic ratio for liquid soap -> foaming soap is 1 part liquid soap, 5 parts water. mix

No, don't spread this new-age-hipster, mummy-blog style nonsense. Essential oils aren't a preservative. And grating a bar of soap doesn't make "hand wash" either.

This is just watered down hand soap. 50% liquid hand soap 50% water.
Not quite.. the formulation is different. Preservatives like anti-bacterial and anti-fungal agents are designed to work at certain concentrations. The refills will be formulated accordingly. When you dilute it down with water you’re likely reducing the efficacy of those components significantly. Still works fine as a detergent to wash off grease or dirt.. just be mindful if youre DIYing significant portions of it and letting it stand you might find stuff growing in there that you’d rather not have.

Lime and mint too, I do like the lime and mint better than raspberry. I see a bunch of other flavours I haven't tried, I wonder what they taste like..
I think they are scents not flavors :)
I find the foam bottles I refill gets faulty after finishing the contents. Nozzle stops springing back and constantly have to manually lift it.

Aldi has foaming hand soap refils for $1.79 Not sure if everywhere but at least in my local…They were $3.90 or so but now heavily reduced.
i was getting these until i accidentally bought the non-foaming one…. and then i read online i just dilute the non foaming one at 1:4 ratio with water and it becomes foaming…… damn we are pretty much paying for water for these things.
Same. I've been on the same 1L bottle of Dettol hand wash since the start of last year mixing 1:4 with water. The Dettol one doesn't dry out your hands hardly as much either.
