  Have this for almost a year with no problem. Except the obvious Chinese plug that you need to plug upside down and no finger protection if you touch that steel plug when you plug it in.

  You can buy it cheaper thru Ebay once a while in the high $30 and low $40.

    Thanks, had a quick look at eBay, and for anyone buying from there in future just beware sellers who list the model 1 kettle as model 2. Seems to be several dodgy listings.

  I don't have this exact model but I have a Xiaomi one that is black with the metal trim that goes around the top and has oled display on the handle. ( I think it's the v1?) the structural elements look quite similar.

  gotta say I am quite impressed with the quality it's going strong even after 3 1/2 years and as good as new.

  I swear every other kettle out there that you can buy locally or at brick and mortar stores have planned obsolescence built-in :)
