  Just type msconfig in search/run to disable unwanted services.

  Disabling unwanted startup programs is in task manager now.

  Disk cleanup to clear temp files/junk.

  And get Firefox with adblock while there.

  Then dont need some dodgy asshampoo software. Covers most the claims this makes.

    Right? This isn't the year 1999 where you need a registry cleaner to stop that old 60GB Hdd from exploding because you installed every program that was on the monthly PC mag cover disk.

  I wonder how Ashampoo got away with compliance after being hacked and user data leaked. PCI compliance would require them to go to level 1, which is tough and requires certain security. The company consist of 13 people overall, and there is no Cyber Security team whatsoever.
  Their compliance is done via Cleverbridge (Gereonstraße 43-65, Köln, Germany), which has very funny reviews on Google where hundreds of people complained about being charged out of nowhere and for nothing. It looks like they somehow get payment details of people and charge them for free products.
  Looks like Cleverbridge is not compliant itself, and owns Ashampoo, claiming that Ashampoo is compliant. However, there is no evidence provided other than from Cleverbridge. It's like asking my mom "Am I a good boy obeying the law?"

  Would be interesting to see reps answer.

  Disk cleanup in Windows is already built into it as mentioned by commentator above link @lachlantula

  You don't need more garbage installed on your computer.

  While the free version has limited features, Ashampoo also offers paid versions of WinOptimizer with advanced tools, features, and customer support. Users often upgrade to these premium versions for more powerful functionality.

  And

  The free version may include ads for other Ashampoo products

  It's not truely free, more like freemium. Basically this freemium model allows them to offer basic functionality for free while generating revenue from more feature-rich versions and other software sales. Nagging you to buy their other crap.
