Fyi, the $13.99 is only 1080p and 2 screens.

    $17.99 required for 4 screens and 4k

what a fk joke - they used to be $9.95 - I would never sign up at this price

  • +7

$6.38 per month for 4K, not 1080p via Turkey.

Or get Real Debrid and pair it with Stremio.

    • Real Debrid… Where do you get it from and how much does it cost?

    • I have mixed feeling about stremio. The idea is awesome but the experience is meh…
First you need to have an app on your TV otherwise you need a dongle and so a second remote which is annoying.
They did finally release an app for webos (LG) a few months ago!!
The other issue is everytime you start watching something, there is a delay to load the movie. Just maybe 15-30sec but that's long enough to be noticeable and annoying.
If you watch a movie you don't care but if you watch short TV shows that's annoying.

So up to you, best I have so far is NAS set up with sonarr, radar, plex… But it cost a bit of $$$ to buy.

  • I've tried ShopBack's $1.05 discount as well, but 99.9% sure it wont work.

if it was free maybe I never pay for streaming services I go from free trail to free trail thats why I never get netflix because no free trial

    • +3

Let me get this straight: if only this paid, subscription service was free, you'd maybe deign to spend your hard-earned $0.00 on it. Gee, if only they allowed free trial churning, they might be as lucky as Netflix to have such a high value customer. /s

Thanks but no thanks… Disney needs to lift their game after that Acolyte garbage.

    Go woke go broke

    • This!

    • hei that rhymes

    • friendly nitpicking here bro :-)
      get woke go broke

    • Go woke go broke

      What?

This is Disney we are talking about here? If it was going "woke" as you put it, its only going because of the $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$, and nothing else.

      • +1

And thats why every bit of media they are putting out is barely breaking out of the negative cashflow. Look at Deadpool, they dont go woke and bring in the $$$

    • +1

Being 'woke' is to show basic empathy. Disney is an evil greedy mega-corporation. They are not 'woke'

      • I don't get why anyone thinks Disney is "woke", they literally just tried to use the arbitration clause in Disney Plus for a wrongful death suit. They are merely targeting a profitable market with content that might seem "woke" to some.

Maybe put when the offer ends in the description? My current subscription goes just past 28th Sep

  • +5

I ain't ever signing a contract to Disney.

  • +4

But will they use this fine print to deny me taking them to court for a wrongful death at their park?

Streaming emerged 10 years ago as the antidote for pirating, for its convenience, value, and freedom from ads.

10 years later, it feels like we’ve gone back to square one, with the ever-shrinking libraries, thin spread of shows across a dozen or so platforms, and emerging prevalence of ads.

It’s just easier to sail the high seas with Plex steering the ship.

Streaming still has value it's still convenient and you dont get ads with high tiers. $20-25 per month isnt really a lot of money and you DONT have to have all services at once, you can alternate between them.
But honestly, you and i both know that if you're a little bit tech savvy and know your way around you'll never stop pirating. Free is always better isn't it?

      • I think you missed this part -

"thin spread of shows across a dozen or so platforms"

Your $20-25 per month is going to get you scraps.

        Long live the Jolly Roger!

  • I was holding off activating the 6 months free offer through CBA Yello, it still had over a month to run then they decided to pull the offer early. SMH

    • Just checked my Commbank and the offer is gone for me too.

  • Once my sub runs out in Feb I don't think I'll sign up again. There's not much on there.

  • So it says $13.99/month for three months on the app, which isn’t the same as $13.99 for three months. Is it a typo on their part?
