My Dolphin is a wired 7 year old unit and dumb as a pile of bricks but works very well.. Cordless units are great if they work just as well…looks like the price point is the same ..do they have enough power to suck up debris ..and do the smarts work under water as they do above..navigation, mapping, detection of debris …These Aiper units have been out for a while now surely someone on here has tried them out ?

I had a Aiper Seagull SE. It died after 10 runs.

Aiper wouldn't honor the warranty during summer, as all new stock were directed to new sales.

Since then, I definitely gave up on cordless robot and the company. I simply vacuum manually once a month, it takes 20min.

There is new model come out that looks interesting - X1 Pro - https://aiper.com/aiper-scuba-series/aiper-scuba-x1pro/

I was going to buy the Aiper skimmer, but the Amazon listing is quite deceiving as it seems to be multi item page. Aussie reviews all negative whereas international reviews are positive. However, the international reviews are for a hook rather than a skimmer. https://www.amazon.com.au/AIPER-Surfer-S1-Temperature-Chargi…

Hopefully they keep improving, as okay price compared to competitors otherwise.

      Re: Aiper Surfer
I've had this for about a month now.

From a performance perspective I'm pretty happy with it. It's been a bit windy these past few days and I've been pleasantly surprised by the amount of dirt and leaves it has skimmed.

From a design prospective, it is my opinion there are a few design flaws that could have been better implemented.

It does get stuck sometimes on my Poolskim return skimmer.

I've been charging it every night. It'll be interesting to see how it runs in summer and when I'm away from home for an extended period.

All in all if it continues to perform and the battery holds for a few years it will have paid for itself in terms of reduced pump usage and manual effort

I've had the Aiper Seagull Pro for about 7 months now. Works perfectly for me in a 70,000 litre pool.

Replaced a polaris 3900 and booster pump.

Much cleaner than before. Less hassle and less electricity used.

    • I also have this model & have been very happy with it.
