Did we ever get 25%? Hopefully switch 2 will be backwards compatible..

    • +2

All reports say it will and honestly would be extremely silly if it wasn't.

But it is Nintendo so you just never really know lol.

      • +2

From Wii to wiiu to switch stores credits were able to be moved. So I’m not concerned about stacking up a little.

        • +3

Yeah true, and Nintendo account funds worked between 3DS and Switch, should be safe!

    • Nope. 20% is the highest

2033, we're in for a period of deflation and stagnation and won't see much in way of price increases until growth cycles around again.

I expect this message to be linked in the next ING savings rate post in 2033, thankyou.

    Nice..

However the EB Games Trade-in Deals have been spoiling me these past few months, and I even have a little Store credit leftover from the last time Coles had them 20% simply because I've been getting in on these amazing physical promos.

Wonder if it's worth stocking up for the sake of the Switch 2 though and if the NSO voucher program will carry over 🤣🤣

it's been a year to see 20% again.

  • Can these be used to pay for the online subscription or to purchase games only?

Gonna use it for NSO+Expansion family, few other digital exclusives

  • This sucks flying out on holidays on the 17th :(( I did buy Witcher 3 on sale for Switch just this week. I'd like these gift cards for the new zelda and mario brothers.

Just get the Japanese voucher, 9980 yen is roughly A$105, which is about 20% off

      • Can you use that voucher on australia eShop?

  • Coles has so many different catalogues this week

  • +3

I do typically prefer buying physically, however if you put it this way, all DLC and Switch Online is 20% off what you were going to pay anyways. Keep that in mind if you are on the fence.

  • Can you buy N64 controllers with this credit if you're an online subscriber?

    • +1

would have been a good bargain, but unfortunately eshop credits do not currently interact with the Nintendo store.

Does any know if we getting TCN (Active, Kids, Him) or Ultimate gift card (Active and Wellness, Him) gift card on sale anytime soon? Or a sale on eftpos gift card was looking for a 99 bikes gift card. Thank you.

    • I want a 20% off JB HiFi gift card please

  • The upcoming Mario Party Jamboree is $79.95 in the Nintendo store, but $68 in all big retailers.

Wanted to go digital, but why it's (much) more expensive only Nintendo knows!

I do plan to grab a card for future purchases :)

    • It's the same with other consoles. Like PS5. Have you seen their online prices? $100+ for typical AAA games when you can get them $20-30 cheaper on Amazon or in retailers

    • +2

Always support physical games and media in AUS, we get ripped off on all digital storefronts. I'll always go physical until there is no option, last week traded in two switch games and got Astro Bot for $0 at JB Hi Fi.

  • can I use it to buy Nintendo switch?

    • No. It's for the eshop on the switch only.

  • Nintendo getting desperate…. xbox is gone..

we need intense console competition.. we cant let sony rein free.. if not we'd be getting $2k consoles very soon.

  • Cool, I haven't seen the $100 denominations here in Australia before.

    Did a bit of a top-up today 👍
(Now fingers crossed the Switch 2 is backwards compatible and carries over wallet :P)

  • Can you use the Eshop credit to buy the game vouchers . So the " 2 games for $134.95" voucher?

    • +1

      Yup!

Doubling up on the discounts like this is a great usage of these deals =)

  • Have to get off my ass to go there sigh

  • +1

I wasn’t able to find any info about a $300 Eshop credit limit but found a page referencing $375 limit https://ec.nintendo.com/AU/en/support/pre_order as a fyi

    • +1

If I remember correctly, the card doesn't expire so you can just keep the gift card and redeem when low.

      • Yes, gift card doesn't expire. eShop limit is AUD$375.
Gold coin not sure, once stacked over $300 (30,000 coins) during the July and August 4x coin sales. Coin expires after 12 months.

  • Can I use it to buy controllers from Nintendo website?

  • oooh i totally forgot about picking some up but thanks for sharing op!
