Not a well known brand, but in my testing it's a quality charger and this is a great price.

Novoo RG120 (Novoo website)(Manual PDF)
100W single port output, 120W total.
Includes two 100W USB-C cables.

From my testing – it supports PPS 3.3V – 21V at 5A. This means it does Samsung SFC 2.0 up to 45W and Pixel 9 charging up to 37W.

You can read more about my testing (I ran the RG68 and RG120 at full output for 24+ hours and monitored the temp) or look at pics comparing the charger size in my TechRadar writeup about the RG68 and RG120.

Can only charge one device at a time with type c
Reviewed in Australia on 2 June 2024
    Model: RG120
When attempting to charge two devices with the two type-c ports, when plugging in the second device, the first device stops receiving charge. This makes the charger functionally useless for charging more than one device at a time with type-c

    Runs REALLY hot
Reviewed in Canada on 29 July 2024
The adaptor gets super hot. I'm not using it anymore because I don't think it's safe to leave unattended

It's $51 every other month according to CCC with coupons to bring it to a similar price. Was $38 last month..

Why are you selectively quoting instead providing a full picture?
All of the reviews are clearly there for people to read.

      Model: RG120Verified Purchase
Not sure what the other comments are referring to.
But mine is totally fine with charging 2 laptops at 60w each.
There is a small delay in handshaking when you plug in the second device but that's just normal - it will resume charging in about 1 sec after handshaking with the device.
So far so good. I'm happy with the price and quality.

      • Agreed.
Occasionally, some individuals enjoy creating controversy with bias.

Yeah the $38 was great value. Sold out fast though.

No problem charging two (or three) devices in my testing. The power splits work as per the spec. Doesn't get too hot, and I left it running on a load tester at full output for over 24 hours.

The Amazon review may be referring to the fact the charger disconnects power when it renegotiates the PD output when plugging in a second device. (Going from 100W single port to 2x 60W). This is normal for USB-C chargers – most do it because it ensures the new power profiles are negotiated correctly.

  • I picked up the Anker USB C Charger, 735 Charger (Nano II 65W) for $45 for Pixel 9 charging.

    • +1

I have one of these too and it's a great charger. But FYI for Pixel 9 Pro XL owners, it only does PPS up to 16V, so won't do 37W charging. It will charge at 27W on the P9PXL.

      • Oh good to know. What about the normal Pixel 9 Pro? Can probably still return it, but seemed like a nice compact (heavier than you'd think) charger.
Sick of having old 18W and now 30/33W chargers hanging around, but they all still do the job (particularly with adaptive charging over night).
Nice to have a true 45W charger though so you can top it up FAST.

btw I've noticed all these amazon brands are getting more expensive, even uGreen. Seemed like a no-name now people are comparing and choosing over Anker. Guess the quality and tech keeps getting better right?

        • +1

The Pixel 9 Pro has a maximum charge wattage of 27W, so will do that fine.

I have not tested the Pixel 9 Pro myself, but as far as I am aware it only needs a charger that supports 3.3V - 11V 3A PPS to do 27W charging. (If the same as the P9PXL then 27W charge mode will use around 9V 3A)

The Anker 323, Anker 511, Ugreen 35W will all do this. The little Ugreen 30W charger does 3.3V - 11V PPS up to 2.75A, so will only hit ~25W charging.

          • @Prong: Hmm someone said the 735 no good for 45W
Unfortunately it won't as the PPS is 16V not 21 V. You can return it since you got it from Amazon.

So the Novoo in this deal or stock google charger would be the go? Ive got a 323 and google 30W charger that are fine anyway but wouldn't mind a 45W since they reckon you can charge it faster. Thanks

Edit: thought that the 9 pro was 45w too.

            • +1

@G-rig: Yeah Pixel 9 Pro is max 27W charging, and Pro XL is 37W. But the 37W charge uses PPS ~18V, so anything that cuts off at 16V for PPS will be limited to 27W charging.

Samsung 45W SFC 2.0 charges at ~9V up to 5A, so needs PPS 3.3V - 11V 5A to reach full charge speed.

      • Hmm
        9 Pro Fold = 4,650 mAh
        9 Pro = 4,700 mAh
        9 = 4,700 mAh

Google Store Pixel 9 models Comparison:

Found this thread on reddit, anker 713 seems to be fine:
        https://www.reddit.com/r/GooglePixel/comments/1f4xjj8/afterm…

The Google 45W charger is probably a safe bet but looks weird with the cable come out of the bottom (and less versatile only one port).

        • +1

In that thread, the posted spec for the Anker 713 Charger (Nano II 45W) is PPS: 3.3V-16.0V=3.0A Max (45W Max), 3.3V-21.0V=2.25A Max (45W Max)

That should do Pixel 9 Pro XL charging – though the comment on Reddit says it did not reach 37W, but that might just be because the phone was too warm or not discharged enough etc.

The Anker 713 is overly expensive in Australia though so IMO not a great option.

          • @Prong: Ok thanks for taking the effort to reply
It's very complicated these days and the devil is in the detail.

Since I don't have a notebook and getting the 9 Pro not 9PXL I'll just stick to the 30/33W chargers I have I think.

            • +1

@G-rig: Yeah ok fair call - the 323 and the Google 30W charger will do the full 27W charging for the 9 Pro.

  • Is the code meant to work on the RG68 as well?

    • I'm getting this promotional code cannot be applied to your purchase.

    • +2

No - RG120 only unfortunately. There was a previous deal where the code worked with the RG68 but it has expired for Australia.

      • +1

        It's a shame, I would've bought a couple more. Such a nice, compact charger!

        • What about this one, or rg67au?
NOVOO 67W USB C Charger with 2 PD 100W Type-C Cables, GaN III 3-Port Compact Fast PPS Wall Charger Foldable, for MacBook Pro 14'', Dell XPS 13, iPad Pro, iPhone 15, Galaxy S24 Ultra, Note 20 etc https://amzn.asia/d/e1kiV8P

          • @G-rig: The RG68 (listed on Amazon as the NCAU67D-257H) is excellent. It does PPS 3.3V - 11V 5A so will do 27W Pixel charging but not 37W charging. It should do Samsung SFC 2.0 45W charging but I have not tested that myself.

The RG67 does PPS 3.3 - 11V at 4A. So will do 27W Pixel charging but not 37W charging. It also won't do the full 45W charge rate for Samsung SFC 2.0. The RG67 also can't sustain the full 67W output for more than 30 minutes and reduces the output to 45W. Not an issue for phone charging, but it's not ideal for a device that needs to sustain over 45W for a longer period.

  • @Prong @ TechRadar

Hey mate what did you think of this one, UGREEN 65W (is about $50 with 15% off):
    https://www.amazon.com.au/UGREEN-Charger-Charging-Station-Co…

    • +1

I have not tested that specific model, but yep it's a good charger.

It does PPS 3.3V - 21V at 3A so will do Pixel 9 Pro 27W charging and Pixel 9 Pro XL 37W charging. But won't do the full 45W Samsung SFC 2.0 charging.

IMO the Novoo RG120 from this deal is a better buy unless you need / prefer the Ugreen desktop form factor with the removable power cable.

      • Seems hard achieving the 45W even on 65W chargers. Won't be really needing it but good to know. Nice to try and get something decent that's somewhat future proofed.

The 100W uGreen version does 5A, but is bigger and heavier.

Yeah the RG120 looks great, hmm.
I do prefer the desktop form factor for travel, handy having the 2m figure 8 cable too.
