  Chemist Warehouse is actually no longer the cheapest around. Some of these items at even 50% off is hardly better than what you can buy them for the standard price at BigW etc. Meaning full price is pure robbery by them.

  Also what happened to them no offering free shipping anymore? Just grabbed some things that were 'decent' in price, but what a rort. Pure greed.

    Same pricing strategy like Colesworth. Inflate price 5 times and give 50% discount to make it look attractive which is still more than 2 times their purchase price.

      Yeah they used to actually be the cheapest years ago, and they full trained me to believe they are the go to cheapest without even doing much checking. It was only till last year where I compared the prices on their products and were shocked to find they were consistently more expensive on the exact same creams than BigW by a big margin. I’m talking Aveenos for $17 at CW and $12 at BigW normal pricing. I was blindly over paying at CW simply due to habit.

        I fell into that trap also, it seems that is the base of their corporate strategy - offer consistently lower prices to 'train' consumers to know Chemist Warehouse is cheapest. After some time, jack the prices up and let your 'fully trained' customers keep returning without them bothering to check what else is out there…
